tl; drag
- Google Pixel 4A and Pixel 6A are dealing with the removal of damaged batteries.
- So far, it includes refreshments that limit the ability to charge after a certain number of bicycles.
- Although there was a trick to avoid this refreshment at Pixel 4A, it seems that Google has shut down the flaw.
This year, Google has forced itself to deal with a strange problem and deal with them, putting its shadows into the otherwise widespread well -received pixel smartphone lineup. First we got the Pixel 4A battery performance program in response to high heat batteries and device failure concerns, and then we saw that the same story was running for Pixel 6A and its battery. With these two incidents, Google’s approach has been multi -dimensional, including repair or change offers, compensation payments, and perhaps the most controversial software updates that have a tough limit on battery performance.
Google, Google, provided a software update to preventing old batteries in these phones that limit charging capacity and reduce efficiency. Although you do not target the doorstep of a particular charging cycle, and do not take these restrictions after your pixel is upgraded to the new battery, some users have decided to adopt a slightly different approach, and they have done everything to limit this charge.
When he announced these updates, Google was clear that there was no optional about any of it. With Pixel 4A, it described the upcoming update as “automatic”, adding “mandatory” for Pixel 6A. We also saw that it had removed past firmware downloads from its reservoir, which is more difficult to retreat.
Apparently, there is a trick.
Many of us may know how to enable developer options in Android, perhaps by trying to interact with the phone through Android Debug Bridge (ADB), but have you ever looked at all other settings there? Especially the one allows you to turn off the phone’s ability to automatically install download update after the phone is re -operated. And as it happened, changing this, for the past few months, managed to stop the battery limited update.
However, this week, the catastrophe has suffered. On Reddate, consumer posts like Crazy 98 Camoro, Selozen, and Gaxeshehr all tell the same story (Via through Via 9TO5GOGLE): He disabled this option on his Pixel 4A phone, and has been running old software for months, but in the past two days his devices have finally been updated.
We are not sure Google has turned to a technical method to achieve this developer option, but whatever he did, it seems that it works. It would be a tragic news for some Pixel 4A holdout, but at least hope some of them can now avoid catastrophic battery failure.
