I have spent the past few weeks with the Samsung Galaxy Z Philip 7, and I’m more convinced than ever: Flip phones are better smartphones. So, why is Apple, who once explained smartphones, why sit on this occasion?
I have some ideas, and I think Apple iPhone flies, if Apple flips something new on the phone.

Before discussing Apple’s goals, let’s agree on a simple fact – smart flip phones are better than flat phones. The reason is simple: two screens.

Today’s Galaxy Z Philip offers a new philosophy of use of core display on 7 or Motozer Ultra. It is a palm -shaped communication, which is ready to visit, messaging, or taking selfies without opening the phone.
This is a way to control my smart home without falling into the black hole of my main screen. These displays are so large and capable, they offer more screen real estate than the entire original iPhone.
The excuse for price is also dead. Philip was used to carry a heavy premium, but today’s Galaxy Z Philip 7 costs the flat Galaxy S25 Edge. I turn to this flat galaxy any day of the week.
So, what is Apple’s excuse?

If the phone is so good, where is the iPhone back? Apple is not afraid of new varieties-it sells phones and tablets as well as watches, springs, settops, smart home speakers.
It looks like it is about perfection. These are the excuses of rumors, and why they do not have water.
Rumors claim that Apple is not satisfied with the bending glass condition. You can still see and feel a faint crease.
Take mine: Craise is a past story. After seven generations of these devices, the crease is almost invisible during use. I promise you, it will never bother you.

Apple may not want a phone that is not sustainable. This is a fair point. Flagship smartphones are ranked IP68, which maintains the best dust and avoids long water dip.
Flip phones are only classified IP48 – they can avoid stink in water, but dust in the possession is a real risk. Apple is a feature to wait for the perfect seal, but they may be waiting more.
Flip phone compromises. The cameras are small, which has no room for major telephoto lenses. Batteries are often small. However, computational AI helps a lot of cameras, and great software can provide amazing battery life.

In fact, I don’t think Apple is living away because tech is not ready. I think the reason is that Apple has nothing to do.
What is the iPhone’s flip offered that Galaxy Z Philip 7 or Motozer Ultra is not already? If Apple cannot answer the question, it cannot justify the astronomical price that it will inevitably receive. Why bother to buy its flip on Samsung or Motorola without really premium cause?
I have heard more reliable rumors about the iPhone fold that opens in a bullet. It seems more likely, as it will combine the aesthetics of the iPhone and the iPad. It feels safe – an evolution of what already exists.
However, the flip of an iPhone will really require new something. And if I’m being honest, I have never seen such a new pin from the capertino in a long time.

The biggest obstacle can be something else: what will the iPhone flip? Apple’s biggest power is not just a device. It is a smooth software environmental system that ties them together. A flip with two separate screens offers a new software challenge for Apple, and new challenges always come with hiccups.
Core Apple apps how can we use another screen to offer more experience than parts? I just don’t want to talk to Suri, I want to join the garage band or doodle in my journal.
To justify your existence, fliping the iPhone requires deep integrated, magical software innovations. Without the software experience that seems revolutionary, the reaction, the device will thwart Apple’s own quality. Perhaps the biggest threat to Apple is not poor occupation. This is a failure of imagination.
