Nintendo has published a call for participants for another playst program, and this time, it is looking for 40,000 testers and not just like 10,000. If you remember, Nintendo searched 10,000 participants for the playst event last year to test an unknown, mysterious switch online feature. The new program still only welcomes the active Nintendo Switch Online + Extension Pack members, but as you expected, it now supports both the original switch and switch 2.
Interested participants should be at least 18 years of age, and their Nintendo accounts should be registered in one of these territories: Japan, United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Canada, Brazil and Mexico. They can sign up individually or in groups of four, whose data will be partially shared between each other. Nintendo will select participants in Japan through a raffle and accept testers from other regions based on the first service to come. The company will seek applications from July 18 to 6pm from East time from 11pm.
Although Nintendo did not say what the participants would do, he noted in the announcement that it would be the “same service test” which was also tested in October 2024. The company has not yet officially announced the service, but previous participants revealed that Nintendo had to play a mini -craft game that included the use of blocks to build a structure. If they want, they can play with other people in the shared world of the game, which is why interested players can apply as a group.
