Ever since its launch, I have been carrying the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 in my pocket. Not just because it is my job to test such new devices, but because Samsung’s largest foldable phone upgrade is still a wonderful product to use it yet.
Although we wait for our full Galaxy Z Fold 7 reviews, I have easily set up seven specific points in what I like about the Galaxy Z Fold 7. I still have some nuts, but we will join them later.
On the balance, it is still likely that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is going to include it in the list of our best foldable phones. Even what I like – and what I don’t like – about so far about Z Fold 7.

What do I like
The design is much better

Samsung made the Galaxy Z Fold 7 thin, lighter and stiff with the previous z folds – the sacred trinity of the smartphone body body.
The Galaxy Z Folder is an incredible jump to make the 26 % reduction in the thickness of the Zuled 7 compared to 6. Weight also welcomes a 10 % reduction, especially the overall increase in screen size (which we will see more in a moment) and consider the new hard material.
With the rating of guerrilla glasses 2, gorilla glass ceramic 2 on the outer screen and the new, thick ultra -thin glass, as well as withdrawing for dust/water resistance, it should help maintain this valuable phone until you use it.
Cameras are the place where they should have been

Samsung used to be slightly dimmed with cameras on its foldables, but it was changing with the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Its 200 MP main camera means that you are now equal to the Galaxy S25 ultra, and so is the upgraded ultra -wide camera with auto -foxes and macro -shots.
Samsung could still collide with the Z -Fold 7’s ultra -wide camera up to 50MP, as well as its 3x 10MP telephoto is starting to show its age. But the overall load -out is now worth a two -grand foldable, with the obvious advantages in comparisons such as my Galaxy Z Fold 7 vs Galaxy Z Fold 6 camera shoot -out.
A large screen grows bigger

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 mounting an 8 -inch internal display means that you now have a pocketable iPad mini, which is like China’s rival equipment. You lose a slight space from the new camera cartoon hole, but like a regular phone, cutout as soon as you start focusing on your game, video or feed, the cutout disappears in practice.
This growing size did not fall below the center of the panel. All of these foldable phones are available to some extent or somewhat, but Samsung revised his occupation technology to see Zod Fold 7’s crease visible and feel less clear.
The outer screen also works better

Samsung also created a small cover screen of Galaxy Z Fold 7 wide and 6.5 inches (more than 6.3 inches). This makes it more comfortable to use the new Z -Fold.
The previous Z -Folds only performed just when they were open, as their outdoor screens were strangely tight for typing. With the Galaxy Z Fold 7, now it depends on which the phone sets you are doing right for you.
Excellent performance

A Snapdragon 8 elite chip set is as good as it is available for Android phone, and the “edition” for the galaxy is even better. Only Apple’s A18 chip sets perform better, and still only on the selected benchmark.
This plays the game like voting waves on the Galaxy Z Fold 7, though if you want to open the big screen, you have to make a habit to play your game in the square window.
Production capacity Multiple opens multiple apps, even without having a significant tool on battery life, and everything works.
A better internal display camera (damaged cartoon hole)

Samsung’s under -display camera helped make the display clean (minus a few strange -looking pixels), but it severely affected the camera performance. Even dedicated companies to complete the UDC, such as ZTE, have not yet had to fix it.
Samsung’s more common cartoon hole to go back to the camera is better for the phone overall, even if some users don’t like the new hole in their screen. You can see the difference in photography with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 in comparing your selfie.
AI Edit and Chat Bots work better on the Inner Screen

I am not too big on the features of AI, but in some cases, with the help of Google, Samsung has carefully thought of ways to work better on the large internal screen of Foldable.
My favorite is how you get the photo when you get before/after, a really easy idea but with a much more potential price. You can freely move the Gemini and other AI prompt windows around the display, let you get answers or photos without making your other apps unclear, and copy the output more easily in these apps.
What I don’t like

Fold 7 Really increases $ 2,000 for the sting. And last year, it also came out after $ 100.
By the way, the cost of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is similar to £ 1,800 in the UK last year, so when Samsung gets a point not to raise the price here, you cannot deny that it is an expensive phone, even compared to other foldables.
Considering how excellent the Galaxy S25 series is, while costing half, it can be difficult to justify spending more for foldable. Before that you have to believe that you want to go on a foldable route before you spend more money.
The battery is still the same capacity (though battery life is slightly better)

I have been able to get the use of Galaxy Z Fold 7 to a day without any problem. But it does not refrain from the fact that Samsung could do even better.
Although batteries in the Z -Fold 7 take less space than the previous generation, it still has the same 4,400mAh battery capacity that was introduced four years ago by the Galaxy Z Fold 3.
Considering that rivals such as Honor Magic V5 and Oppo Find N5 are close to the capacity of 6,000 mAh – thanks to the new technology of silicon carbon – there is a lot of space for Samsung growing.
I wish I had better multi -tasking

Samsung allows you to open a slides over app as well as three apps on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 at the same time. It works decent, but it is not as good as the Open Canvas system of One Plus is open to its One Plus.
Although this foldable is coming at the age of two, the ability to open and slide apps in large windows, is more clever use of screen space than the narrow -eyed of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 interface, which is open all possible apps.
The Z Fold 7 also offers a dex desktop mode, but it is designed for use with a dedicated monitor just instead of the device.
I miss a pen

Samsung abandoned the support of the S pen with the Z -Fold 7 in favor of thinning the design. And when I appreciate how far Samsung’s engineering has come, I wish it was a warning with which it did not come.
I acknowledge that I never used this pen much, but I still liked the availability there, as it scored Z -Fold’s capacity and identity as a pocket pill. Particularly considering that rivals foldable are just as thin and still offer stylus support.
I’m not just talking about the outer display, but also on the external display, which Samsung has not been able to offer in some way.
