The air drop of files between Apple devices has always been a fast and easy way. You can easily use it to share it with photos, documents, videos, audio recording, contact cards, web links, notes and iPads, iPhones and other data. You can also use an air drop to move these files to close contacts (as long as they have iOS or MacOS) and it works with iOS 7 or new and Max with any iOS device that is running OS X Yosemite or more new.
For a detailed clarification of how to use the air drop, see our guide here. But even if you follow these measures, the air drop can sometimes fail. There are some possible reasons why it is not doing it.

Bluetooth or WiFi is not on
Uses both Bluetooth and Wi -Fi to discover the air drop devices and share files. Therefore, it needs to turn on both BLOTOOTH and Wi -Fi to work. If a touch has also been disabled, the air drop will not work. If you are having trouble with any of these contacts, you can try to re -togel these features. To do this, just go to the Simply, the Settings or Control Center and enable both Wi -Fi and Bluetooth.
Personal hotspot is active
If your phone or tablet’s personal hotspot feature has been turned on, it can prevent the air drop from operating. Make sure it is inactive and make sure the other device has turned it off. A Vpn connection Could also cause problems with the airDop. If you are using VPN, make sure local networking is allowed. Otherwise, try to disable it if you have a problem with the air drop.
You can double your air drop settings from the Control Center using these menos.
Air is ready to receive drop -off
Another reason is that the airderop is not working is that your plane settings are incorrect. If you have this “receiving” this, no one can air the files you have. To correct it L you, you need to do the following functions:
- Open Control center Panel
- Tap the wireless connection icon
- Tap the air drop icon
- Select Just contact Or Everyone for 10 minutes
The “contact” option only opens with people stored in your contacts while the “every” option opens your phone for the public for 10 minutes. We will not suggest to choose the latter unless you really trust the people around you. If the person you want to do with the air is not yet in your contacts, it would be better to save them as contact before the air drop. Otherwise, if you are in a relatively private location, everyone’s option is fine. Just make sure that it returns to another private option after the transition is over.
Your contact does not include their Apple ID
If you set the air drop priority to “just contacts”, then both sides need to configure each other’s Apple ID email address or mobile number in the contact app to work. If it’s not working, then you can use each option to air the file.
Make sure the recipient is open and running for the air drop.
One appliance is locked
If one devices are closed or shut down, the air drop will not work. The air drop will not see a locking device as a device available to send something. Make sure the received iPhone, iPad or Mac is open and strengthened so that the air drop can recognize it.
Devices are too far away
Since the air drop uses Bluetooth and Wi -Fi to transfer files, both devices need to remain in each other’s Bluetooth range, which is often 30 feet. To minimize any mistakes, try to keep both devices closer to each other. In iOS 18, the transfer can continue on the Internet until the initial connection is over, so you can be separated after the process begins.
Contradictory hardware
Air drop only works with iOS and MacOS products, not with Android or PC products. The sharp part of the Android is Share, which acts like an airroup.
It is also possible that you are trying to air the files that are especially large, such as 4K video files. If that’s the case, look at this guide to transmit large videos from your iPhone to Mac, using a photo arrest device on Macoso.
