Holding the Galaxy Z Fold 7, I have to remind myself. This is not just an ordinary phone. The wildly thin design and the wider core screen make this generation of foldable foldables of Samsung realize the incredibly normal, at least when it is closed. When it opens, this is a very different story.

I had to check the Zool 7 and Z Philip 7 and Z Philip 7 per Samsung’s packaged event in New York last week, Z Fold 7 per. I have used many foldable phones, but the feeling of Z Fold 7 has called me the future of this category.

This is a part of the story Samsung eventCNET’s collection of news, indications and advice around Samsung’s most famous product.

See this: Ultra Slim: Take a look at the first Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7

At 8.9 mm thick when the joints and weighs 215 grams, the Galaxy Z fold does not feel much different than 7 standard slate phones. The 6.5 -inch cover display makes it something I can see happily to see myself social media, text and videos.

But when it is opened, Samsung’s book -style foldable is nothing but ordinary. Only at 4.2 mm thick, it holds a wild profile that also steals a spotlight from 5.8 mm thick Galaxy S25 Edge. The 8 -inch internal display is 11 % larger than last year’s z fold 6, which should help with multi -tasking. And a guerrilla glass ceramic 2 core and Victos 2 back make it feel good and strong.

The Z -Fold 7 feels exactly as if foldable phones have tried to stay with everyone: thin, lightweight and spacious – and “normal”, at least where it is important. It also includes an impressive 200 megapixel’s main camera, just like thin S25 ultra.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 weighs 215 grams, and has a more wide display.

In an exclusive interview, Drew Blackard, senior vice president of Samsung’s mobile product management, told CNET that by pressing the fold and applying the camera, the book -style phone “is now the mainstream element.” After having the phone, I can understand what that means. The Z -Fold 7 is removed with a thick construction and scalpback camera that previously featured foldable, and introduces something that feels equal parts to felt sleek and familiar.

Samsung is in no way the first company that has launched a thin foldable. Oppo’s search N5, Huawei’s partner X6 and Honor’s magic V3 also proud of the slim designs, which have some names. But with the release of both the Galaxy S25 Edge and now the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the Samsung is doubled on the obsession of the thin phone.

The Galaxy Z Folds 7 has a wide camera of the same 200 megapixel, such as the S25 ultra.

An ultra experience on ultra -thin phone

Bringing your 200 megapixel wide camera to Zo Fold 7 and S25 Edge, Samsung is proving that you do not need to compromise on the quality of the camera for a thin construction. This is a notable example of the Foldable Folder, which has traditionally surpassed the cameras. It will be interesting to see how competitors try to advance the match or the achievement.

The Z Fold 7 has a 12 -megapixel ultra -wide and 10 megapixel telephoto camera, as well as 10 megapixel selfie cameras on the internal and core screens. I look forward to testing phone cameras in the real world.

Like the S25 series, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 Snap Dragon 8 Elite Chip packs. It comes out of the box with an UI 8 and Android 16.

Despite the thin construction of the new phone, Z-Fold 7’s battery maintains the capacity of 4,400-MAH last year. The biggest negative aspect of the S25 Edge is its 3,900-MAH battery, which gives it the lowest capacity in the S25 series.

I was fully prepared for the Z -Fold 7 to have a similar hit, but its expanded real estate helped protect him from the loss. According to a CNET survey, battery life is one of the biggest things when people buy a new phone, so it is good that Samsung did not measure it. We will see how this is in fact my daily use and if this is a match of my endless tectic scroll and photo.

    Neither slim price

The Galaxy Z Fold 7’s latest specifications do not come cheap. The phone starts at $ 2,000, which is last year’s z fold 6 to $ 100.

You are definitely playing a premium for both this Salmer Blood (S25 Edge starts $ 1,100) and ultra -grade camera (starts at 25 Ultra 3 1,300).

The Z -Fold is available in 7 jet black, blue shadow and silver shadows, as well as a special mint color when you order at Samsung.com. In advance, the phones arrive on July 25.
