Huawei 80 Ultra is now stepping out of China and since the flagship of photography is my weakness, I can’t be very happy.

PURA 80 Ultra is the most interesting flagship there – not only in 2025, but in any other year. Why? Because it is really a modern and most important thing, the modern camera system on its back.

The importance of camera phones, Pura 80 Ultra – even more

    Huawei

Just last night I was meeting with an old friend – I showed him some pictures I took all over the world and he was really impressed by the quality of the pictures. He was surprised that I took the phone with these people (actually, I used two phones – Oppo got the X7 Ultra and Xiaomi 13 Ultra). Initially, he suggested that the photos were taken with a dedicated camera. Surprise, surprise … so, I’m desperate to take some pictures with the new Huawei and share my results with you. Until then, let’s make a deep dive. Huawei 80 series started in China less than a month ago and in addition to the ultra model, there are also Vanilla Huawei 80, Pura 80 Pro and Pura 80 Pro Plus. Ultra is certainly the most powerful of all of them and that is what fans were hoping to step out of their homeland:

    • Two zoom lenses on the same big sensor
    • Variable aperture for the main camera
    • Large 5,170 mAh battery

    Huawei

The phone uses 50P large, 1-inch sensor with a variable (F/1.6-4.0) aperture, which is also great to capture detailed, clear shots in maximum settings (such as, when, when dark). Here is a 40 MP ultra -wide sniper and a multi -spectrous ultra -chroma camera sensor that is real for correct colors and precise, life color.

The camera setup star is a telephono sensor, with two separate zoom lens sitting in front of it – this switch is the dual telephoto camera:

    • Zoom for 3.7x portrait and telephoto -street photography
    • 10x zoom for impressive close ups

Huawei says it is the industry’s largest telephoto sensor. And users can switch between 3.7X and 10x zoom in the camera app. The camera hardware immediately moves the selected lens in front of the sensor and, boom, you are already taking pictures of the birds or occupying the lead singer’s face impressions in a concert in a concert.

This is a very good idea. Such a system may be a victim of matters, but I don’t care – this is an innovation, and innovation is the one that is still in dire need of it in the smartphone industry.

The only thing I find a bit weird is 10x Magnetization: It is often “too much”. Although 2x and 3x portraits or the Perfects to capture things that are a little away, there are not many days of day articles that demand 10x zoom. Don’t get me wrong – I love what Huawei is doing, but may 6x zoom more practical?

    And what is it?

    Huawei

PURA 80 Ultra contains the new AI Smart Controls button, which provides immediate access to frequently used functions such as user’s preferences such as camera, flashlight, or AI lens. The button includes fingerprint identity for additional security and ease of use. Devices also introduce the cancellation of advanced AI noise, which improves the quality of the call by reducing the noise of the background and increasing the sound description for both sides.

The phone has a 5,170 mAh battery, which is endorsed at 100W wired (and 80W wireless) charging speed – and this is a facility that I can’t leave now. Finally, to improve stability, the Pura uses 80 ultra -second -generation crystal Armmer Culin Glass, which offers better scratch and drop resistance than standard glasses.

For now, the Pura 80 Ultra AED5,099 is available in the United Arab Emirates. When changes, it is about $ 1,390, which is not cheaper at all, but hey, you are getting innovation! Keep in mind that you are getting 4G connectivity, no 5G (special model from China offers it). Remember – this is more camera than the phone.
