Going away from the grid can soon be the past, as Space X’s star link link link satellite internet service is ready to launch on July 23. Direct cell messaging service, called T -satellite, will also be available for AT&T and Verizon Cell phone users.

T -Mobile says it aims to “eliminate the mobile dead zone for good for the Mobile Ded Zone” through 657 Star Link Satellite, which will be used exclusively for cell phone service. The T -satellite has been in beta testing since December 2024, so far about 1.8 million users have been signing up.

Direct cell messaging service represents an important step in mobile technology: it works with most phones made over the past four years, according to T -Mobile, rather than dedicated hardware. It will be available to T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon users at $ 10 a month-or free for anyone on T-Mobile experience free or free on next projects.

Marketing, strategies and product T -Mobile President, Mike Kitz, told CNET’s Jeff Carlson, “At the end of the day, you are able to send selfies when there is no coverage at this place, but must be able to connect emergency services,” Marketing, strategy and products of the product, T -Mobile Koz, Carcos. “We just think that with such technology, no customer should ever be in a situation where they are unintentional in an emergency.”

Sadly, there is already one reason for T -Mobile to test this emergency service, when it enabled T -satellite in large -scale flood -affected communities in Central Texas earlier this week. In this area, T -Mobile users can use text -to -911 and basic text messaging, and they can receive emergency warnings on compatible devices.

In the future, T -satellite will be free for emergency use nationwide. The company said that 911 texting would be available to any mobile customer with a synchronized device later this year, regardless of whether or not they were subscribed to the career.

    What is a satellite?

The T -satellite is a partnership between T -Mobile and Star Link that will allow direct cell SMS messaging access to areas where there is no cellular coverage. There are more than 7,000 Earth’s orbit satellites in the Star Link sky, and now, 657 of them will be fully dedicated to the satellite. T -Mobile says its aim is to increase coverage of the United States up to 500,000 square miles, which cannot reach the traditional cell tower.

“When you leave the Pradesh network and you go to a place where there is no network, your phone will automatically find and contact the satellite network, which is quite different from any satellite system there that force you to connect manually, and you have to point your phone to the sky.”

Satellite connectivity in the cellphone is not new – iPhones have obtained it from 2022 – but it is usually safe for SOS messaging to connect you with an emergency sender. On July 23, T -satellite users will be able to send SMS texts to iPhone and Android. Android users will also get MMS immediately, with iPhone support “to follow.”

This means that users will be able to send photos and audio clips in addition to standard text messages. In October, the service will be extended so that data support can be added to third party apps such as Eco Wider, All Trails, WhatsApp and X. This access benefits the hooks made in iOS and Android software, so developers may be able to send data through a tight amount of bands available through satellite.

This is far greater than that of other phone carriers launched in the satellite circle-the main reason for this is due to the T-Mobile contribution to the star link. Both AT&T and Verizon have partnered with AST Space Mobile for satellite messaging, and Verizon told CNET last year Eli Blumenthall that she was still planning to work with Amazon’s project Cooper, which was launched on 28 April 2025 on April 28, 2025.

The dog says, “Despite our rivals, they are behind this technology.

How much will the T -satellite cost?

On July 23, T -satellite AT&T, T -Mobile and Verizon will be available for $ 10 a month. But there is an exception: Beyond the T -Mobile experience, the plan ($ 100 per month for a line) or the GO5G next plan will be available to include the cost of the plan to move forward, and those involved in the experience ($ 85) will receive it at the end of the year.

Even if you don’t pay $ 10 a month, T -Mobile says 911 texting will “be available to any mobile customer, regardless of a synchronous device, career.”

If you are a Verizon or AT&T customer, you will have to activate the TT satellite as another ESIM on your phone to take advantage of the service. You can get instructions about the establishment of ESIM here.

How to try T -Mobile’s Star Link Service today

If you are anxious to try the T -Mobile Star Link Satellite Messaging Service and do not want to wait until July 23, you may still try to sign up for the beta. I will not expect too much, though – when I entered my information, I received a message saying, “Due to more demand, we are recognizing beta -testers on the basis of rolling. Keep an eye on the update in the coming weeks.”
