Last month, I reviewed the Nintendo Switch 2 for the Tom Guide. Overall, I like the hybrid console, as my passionate writing proves. And when I made every effort to create a copy of various conditions in my test, there are some real -world scenarios that you can’t copy from your home base, such as switching 2 to the plane, or whipping it in the lobby of a stir.
I just returned with Switch 2 from my first trip, and once again the next general handheld/home console of Nintendo was seriously affected. However, the experience of going abroad with switch 2 has also highlighted its disappointing flaws.
So, here’s my first experience taking the Nintendo Switch 2 on the journey, good and bad.

Switch 2 is larger in every way in your predecessor. The 7.9 -inch large display takes all the attention, but the LCD screen is uniformly wrapped in a befir plastic shell, and clean, I love large size. As the steam deck OLED changed since last winter, I am now accustomed to big handhelds, and by the end of the generation, Switch 1 felt anxiously small in my palms.
So, when the Nintendo Switch 2 has been playing for a long time, like in a four -hour flight, my fingers were thanking the biggest 2 controllers and the designer for the overall size. I still like to play with the Nintendo Pro Controller, but at least now Joey does not fully design 2s small, children’s shapes in mind. Oh, and magnetic connectors are still terrific. This is a huge upgrade over the old railing system, and its strong wind is blowing.
Tabletop mode is a novel option

Talking about separating the Joey 2s, the Systems Switch Family offers a feature in which some handhelds can copy: Tabletop mode.
Even if the Nintendo Switch 2 is significantly more comfortable to keep a handheld form than your predecessor, you can take your game experience to a level through Tabletop mode, which can help you facilitate the central console unit through a built -in kick stand and your arms.
As someone who never upgraded the Nintendo Switch OLED (I was trapped with my launch unit until the end), which already had a better elastic kick stand, I got the adjustable stand of the switch 2. And the Tabletop format also proved to be very useful for playing two player Mario Cart World on the flight.
The launch library is solid, if not fantastic

I have seen more than a few about the software library available on the Nintendo Switch 2 at the launch. People do not need to look for social media to discuss this, “Switch 2 has no game,” but I just don’t believe that the statement of this joke comes from reality.
Yes, I will accept that switch 2 is lacking Special You may not find anywhere else with the software, only Mario Cart World and Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour offer experiences, but the best upgrade of third -party port roster and essential switch 1 games is very healthy in this early stage.

Battery life is upright

There is no sugar, Nintendo Switch 2 battery life is useless.
As part of this trip, I flew for four and a half hours, and before we were on the way to our landing destination.
Battery life is so disturbing that traveling with a portable charger or accessing flight charging is practically a need if you want to take the switch 2 to 30,000 feet. Instant home travel, and switch 2 is not going to touch with any juice.
I note the poor life of the battery as a problem in my switch 2 reviews, but when you are traveling, this problem really comes to attention and cannot always connect with reliable power supply.
After taking my steam deck OLED on various visits in recent months, I noticed that the switch 2 battery is not standing well in the Life Department. And if the switch 2 gets the update of the middle gene, the battery life needs to be extended.
What is the switch 2 with download speed?

Well, so technically this is a problem I encountered before my trip, especially a night ago, when I was installing the game to play on my holiday, but I just don’t understand what the Switch 2 is contracting at the download speed.
Naturally, I have delivered my Nintendo Switch 2 to the same Wi -Fi connection as there are gaming consoles (and tech devices) in my house. While on the PS5 Pro and the Xbox Series X, I am able to download 50GB in about 30 minutes, my switch 2 needs several hours to download a quarter of it.
Hack, before my trip, I went to download a new update to Hitman: World Off, and when it was a funny huge 112 GB update, my switch 2 notified me that it would take more than 130 hours to complete. It’s less than the downloaded gigabytes per hour!
A quick search tells me that I am far away from the only person facing this problem, and while the user’s different reforms are currently floating, no one has seriously resolved the slow download speed for me. I’m just hoping that this is a complicated problem and there is no faulty inside the hardware.
