Threads have finally developed messages (DMS) directly on their platform, allowing users to have one -on -one conversation without leaving the app. According to Instagram chief Adam Mossi, this feature has been a “top application” from consumers since the launch of threads in 2023. It arrives with numerous options, including messaging control, inbox filtering, and group messaging. In addition, the microblogging platform owned by Meta has also introduced threads as a feature to mark the trending titles.
Sending DMs on Threads
Launched in 2023, after the occupation of Elon Musk, threads arrived as a rival to X (formerly Twitter) microblogging, but did not have DM’s capabilities. However, now it is changing. According to the Meta Blog Post, one -on -one messaging on the threads is now on the microblogging platform but available in the limits. The company first started testing this feature last month and has been extensively expanded.

DMS is initially available between the followers of the threads or the mutual mutual, from Instagram, 18 years of age and above. They are protected from meta privacy standards, account protection measures, and safety infrastructure. The company will soon enhance the DMS feature, with more capabilities, the first of which is the message control.
With this feature, the user can control who sends them messages on the microblogging platform. They can allow DMS from people who do not follow them on threads or Instagram, and such requests can be received in a separate message application folder. In addition, group messaging will also be available. Meta explains that it will give users a chance to join the conversation simultaneously.
The last feature is the features of the inbox that, as revealed by the name, can enable users to apply some parameters based on the inbox to find a specific message they are looking for.

According to the company, the DMS on the threads will be available through an envelope icon in the bottom tray. The image with it shows that its user interface (UI) will be similar to the DMS list on Instagram.
In addition to the DMS, threads are also introducing the highlighters as a new UI factor. “It is said to highlight an individual approach that leads to dialogue,” Meta says. This feature will be visible in key parts of the app to help users discover the content. In addition, threads will also mark the trending titles with the highlighters, and its place will be increased soon.
