After weeks of his hype, Honor unveiled Honor Magic V5 in an event in China today as the successor of last year’s Magic V3. The magic V5 is an incredibly thin and light foldable phone, which runs from the flagship chip set. We have received one in our office to take a review, but before we pass it at its pace, let’s do a quick inboxing to see what the Honor’s latest foldable offers.
Now, let’s talk about the design. Honor Magic V 5 ivory comes in white, black, don gold and red brown colors. Our ivory is a white model, which is thinner and light from the other three versions.

Ivory White Magic V5 is 4.1 mm thick when it opens and when the joints are 8.8 mm thick, while the other models measure 4.2 mm and 9 mm respectively. At 217G, the Ivory White version of Honor Magic V5 is 5g compared to other models.
In comparison, the light version of Honor Magic V3 weighs 226 grams, when it is measured 4.35 mm and when folded is 9.2 mm. Nevertheless, Honor managed to pack a large battery within the Magic V5: 5,820 mAh vs. V3 5,150 mAh cell. Even the Chinese version goes up to 6,100 mAh.

Honor Magic V5 also has a Qualcomm flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Civic, which has 16GB RAM and 512 GB storage. Its folding display measures 7.95 “while the core screen has a 6.43 worst”.
