- Google Photos is getting a new photo view with clear placement for light mode, smooth menus, and photo details.
- The photo view will also show interactive badges that allow you to take different steps.
- Currently, Google Photo users are ready to update iOS and will come to Android users in subsequent history.
Google Photos frequently refreshes its interface and settings, and it is once again doing a better photo view, namely, the screen you see when you open a picture in the Google Photo app.
This update introduces three major changes to the photo view, which will be immediately noticeable when the update collides with your app.
Dynamic light mode: Google Photos now supports a light mode that automatically connects to your device’s system theme. Instead of always watching the black background, the app will now reflect the preference of your device’s light or dark mood.
Clear picture details: Date, time and location information will now appear directly to your photos, eliminating the need to swipe to see these details.
Extended to three dot menu: In the upper right corner of the photo video, the Three Dot Menu now includes more actions, such as:
- About
- Google Lens
- Create
- Cast
- (For direct or motion photos) save
- Download or delete from the device
There is also a new context for the selected thumbnases three dot menu. This makes it easier to manage photostics and bursting shots. You can change the top selection to take batch steps, remove from the stack, stack, or multi -select.
Finally, Google Photos will now show interactive badges in Photo View that lets you take the following steps:
- Change the picture category
- Play or stop directly or motion photos
- Save the shared photo in your library
- Back up photo or manage storage options
All the previous functionality is in its place. The “Add” (+) button at the bottom allows you to manage, secure them, save them or move them to your locked folder.
Google says it is now available for Google Photo users on iOS. Android users will get the update “soon”, but for now, they will have to wait. Meanwhile, Google Photos is also developing a large update to its editor, which will soon be offered a refreshing UI, smart tools and a better organization.
