We love more smart display we like
Google Nest Hub for Google 100: If you do not need a camera and don’t mind on a 7 -inch small screen then Google’s second generator Nest Hub is a great option. It has a wake -up alarm that imites the rising sun for a mild morning, and is a sleep tracking tech to track your sleep quality, though the quality of the results is not very good. It also supports gestures – such as playing video or stopping with a handsome movement – using unique radar tech.
Eco Show 5 (third general, 2023) in $ 90: The smallest and cheap third -generation Eco Show 5 has a 5.5 -inch screen that works best on the desk or bed table. We think it’s a little too small to the kitchen or room, but it depends on how you plan to use it.
Eco Center for $ 180: Echo hub is not a smart display at all. It lacks the speaker’s powerful abilities and does not have a camera for calls or Amazon’s drop -in video call feature. Instead, it is fully concentrated on having a smart home dashboard with built -in Alexa, as well as features like widgets and photo frames. I think it takes the best, most easily used features of smart display and cuts the rest. But if you want a good speaker, don’t choose it.
Smart display to leave
We do not like every smart display. These are the ones we are leaving them after trying.
Eco Show 10 (third general, 2021) in $ 250: This smart display is located on top of a large cylindrical speaker, which makes it great. The screen physically revolves around your room to follow you, when you chat video or keep your stamped workout video in your eyes. Since the screen moves a lot, you may have difficulty in positioning hard places – especially in corners. It’s a unique model, and is currently out of stock, but we’re taking a look to see if it is closed again.
$ 300 for Eco Show 15: It is the largest of all of them, which has a 15.6 -inch display, and it has customized widgets so that you can have a smart home tool to have control and calendar reminders. It is applied to your wall like a TV (a stand is sold separately), and the show 15 pairs in which fire TV remote (you can use the app) to use streaming features. Sound orders for streaming do not work well, so it feels like a strangeness between a smart display and TV that does not improve in any department. Eco Show 21 ($ 400) is basically the same device, even larger.
Google Display of the third party: Google is no longer updating the software for some third -party smart display, which we used to suggest in this guide. If you have one, it will still work, but over time, the possibility of some features will be eliminated or disappears. It seems that this is the fate of the Google Smart display of the third party, which is why we do not recommend them.

Do you need a smart display?
Smart displays are helpful, your smart home devices operate as hubs, when you walk through the kitchen recipes, and in some cases allow you to chat hand -free video. But we are not sure they will stay in their current form, or even how long. Meta portals that we like is no longer available. Google recently stopped issuing software updates for some third -party display (more below it), and it seems that it has focused on its new Pixel Tablet (our top chin).
Amazon has continued a new smart display even after the Alexa Voice Assistant’s failures were reduced in 2022. The Alexa team was allegedly suffering from roofs in 2022 and 2023, but new smart display has surfaced since then. Apple has not yet made a smart display (something more!) But when they are charging, it has made features associated with smart display for iPhones.
The future of these smart home devices is not yet clear, but if you are going to get one, we suggest that the brand’s direct devices stick to the voice assistant you prefer. Otherwise, consider a favorite tablet of ours instead.
Is Apple’s smart display?
So far, Apple has not yet launched its dedicated smart display. Apple iPhones contain a standby format in the iOS that is activated when the iPhone is towards it and charges, this kind of use from twelve South. I hoped that this feature would feel like a smart display, but the standby format is limited to custom clock faces, showing your pictures, and your text has to pop up in the big text that fills the screen. It does not scratch the itching of all the features you receive in the smart display and instead feel like a fancy alarm watch.
Amazon will soon begin to start new and better Alexa called Alexa+. It is understood that this second generation of Alexa Voice Assistant is more likely to be discussed, which is capable of practicing complex tasks and learning new information, and is very personal. The reason for this is that the Generative AI has its power.
Alexa+ will also need to send all the sound recording to Amazon, and Amazon also changes his features for recording with Alexa regularly to go to Amazon. The privacy feature was “not sending voice recording”, but it was killed in March.
Alexa+ will be available at $ 20 a month, or if you have Amazon Prime Membership. Although your membership is likely if you have added an Alexa device to your home, this is a major jump of less confidentiality in the first free assistant (and both versions in both versions. Amazon says the initial access will start in the United States next month, with the Eco Show Smart Display, especially with the Ecoso Show, with all of them, with an Ecoshoes, with a sharp -up. Or is one of the different models or not.
What about digital calendars?
There is a growing market for digital calendars that look like a smart display, but instead of responding to sound orders and streaming video calls, these digital screens have been designed to have a shared calendar to see and watch the entire family. One of our favorite digital photo frames makes Sky Light Sky Light Calendar (which starts at $ 170), which comes in 10 inches, 15 inches, and 27 inches, while I experienced a heart display ($ 699), which comes exclusively in 27 inches. Kozila also makes a calendar calendar that starts at 15 inches but goes up to a 36 -inch screen.
There are some differences in these calendars, but you will find a similar road block for them: membership. The heart display encourages the display to use your family, especially children to make routines, even though you want to use it properly than my 2 -year -old child (though there are icons designed for children in the stove that cannot read yet), and the family membership. If you sign up for a monthly plus plan, Sky Light photo screen saves and touts of food planning tools.
You may find that these devices are for you, but it is either another tool for a parent to manage or teach you something to make your entire family more benefit. You are better than teaching everyone in your family to share their Google Calendar.
