Apple analyst Ming Chi Kov has published a new roadmap forecast for Apple’s vision headsets and upcoming smart glasses. Apple is apparently going out on the smart glass front in every way, with less than four models not developing.

The first camera and video recording capabilities, speakers and sound control will be competing with the Ray Ben Meta with the features of the user interface and AI. They are expected to enter the mass production in Q2, 2027, and Koo predicts that Apple will reach 3-5 million units in 2027.

First -generation Apple glasses will offer several material finish for temples and frames. Apple’s first smart glass registration is expected to increase the demand for smart glass categories in the second brands, which is expected to reach the product category 10 million shipments in 2027.

Apple Silicon (LCOS) is also working on expansion reality (XR) glasses with liquid crystals on display, sound control and gestures. They are expected to enter the Q2 2028 mass production.

Koo also mentions an additional “display accessories” pair of glasses that are connected to the Apple device, including the iPhone. They had to enter the Q2, 2026, but now they have stopped for the dissolution.

The Headset Vision Series is also receiving a new model with a latest vision pro equipped with Apple M5 chip set this year. It will soon launch mass production in Q3 (July to September) and it is expected that its production will be 150,000-200,000 units.

Apple is apparently not launching any new vision device in 2026, but Kuo believes that there are at least three new headsets in the development, which will be launched in 2027 and 2028.

It is expected that Vision Air Q3 will reach a light form factor in 2027, which is 40 % lighter than the Vision Pro (600-650 grams). It will be equipped with “iPhone grade processor”, magnesium alloy chassis, low sensor and plastic optics in the name of weight loss. It is expected that this version will receive a wider appeal to consumers and will naturally reach with a low price.

The second -generation’s vision pro is expected to be expected to enter the mass production with a better design, new M -Series chip in Q2, 2028, with a light design and less intimidating price tag.
