Despite refusing to get another pixel phone at any time, there are certainly some pixel features when I will remember when I switch to my next smartphone. Call screening and other call features do not make my list, as these capabilities are not available in non -coated markets. However, when I upgrade, what will I be here?

This is definitely one of my favorite things about the Pixel Line, as these phones were usually the first to receive the new Android version. For example, Google released Android 16 on June 10, and the same day it was received by the Pixel Handsets. Samsung, Xumi, and other manufacturers have to release Android 16 on their phone so far.
Of course, Google has the advantage of being a platform and hardware, so it is a bit irrelevant to expect other manufacturers to speed up. I also argue that the refreshments of the Android version do not really have many features changing the game, while instead of many new features have been released through Google Play Services. However, when it comes to stable software release, I will always appreciate being ahead of the pack.

Google has now offered to play functionality on its pixels for years. It uses an on -device machine learning to identify music in your environment, and then show track information on your lock screen. You can even access your date of date to get the logs of songs identified by your phone.
I still think that this is one of the best features of Pixel after that time, and I really wish that more brands adopted a similar device smart. At least the developer community has stepped up with acne music mode so that I can technically get it on my non -pixel phone, though with some tinkering.

Perhaps the main reason for buying a pixel phone was the camera standard. At that time, compared to most of his rivals, I thought Pixel 7 Pro usually put very good shots that still look very natural. In fact, I’m still taking myself some good snap with this phone in 2025.
However, don’t think me wrong. Royal manufacturers like Xumi, Vivo, and OPPO have a better camera hardware than a pixel phone. And some of these camera phones take significantly better images in low light conditions or zooms. But it says a lot that I will sometimes shoot a scene or take selfies with my old pixel rather than a new flagship.

A voice recorder who automatically imitates speech without an internet connection? It looks like pedestrians in 2025, but the Google recorder app blown my mind when I used Pixel 4 in 2019. In fact, I still use this app when holding interviews today, and I keep considering it one of the best features of Pixel.
Royal brands have long offered voice recorder apps with transcript functionality. However, most of these apps currently lacked the device’s copy, which is why the Google app was really special. Some of these apps have since acquired offline smart, but Google Recorder is still standing through smooth cloud backup, web -based access (recorder.gel.com), and locally produced summary. I will remember the official, pre -loaded version on my pixel, but I will definitely load this app on my next phone.

The feature of a pixel that I flown under my radar before buying Pixel 7 Pro was the Rex/Multi -tasking menu. This is another feature I love, and when I finally switch to another phone, I will really miss it.
