Android is 16 Pixel is now available for phones, though some more interesting features will not be ready until the release of Android 16 QPR1. Year. On the other hand, Samsung’s One UI 8 beta, based on Android 16, has surprised us by going directly and packing some basic features faster than expected, which is not yet with Pixel and will not be up to QPR1. Of course, a UI 8 beta also has all Samsung’s apps and design language, as well as Samsung has no new features created for myself, but what I am interested here is the new Android 16 -based features I was able to try.
Samsung has already implemented an UI 8, of Android 16 features, these are my three favorite.
Do you think an UI 8 has a good update so far?

That’s fine, but I’m interested in seeing how it develops in future sons.

Direct updates
With an UI 7, Samsung introduced direct information. Like Apple’s direct activities, direct notifications make important information more accessible. Media controls, ongoing timers, the direction of Google Maps, and more have been shown in a bubble on the left side of the selfie camera and are now connected to the bar. If Samsung phones already have this feature, why are we talking about it now?
Google is adding direct updates to Android 16, with full functionality expected in the QPR1 update later this year. This is an important development for Samsung users, as an UI 7 has a relatively FEW third -party apps that support Samsung’s direct information, but app developers should be more encouraged to support this feature when it is available on Android as a whole and not only Samsung phones.
90:10 Split screen
Split screen has been a feature of multi -tasking for years, and has not changed much since its introduction. One Plus launched an open canvas at the OnePlus Open, a new way to multiply on a foldable, which understood anything more than anything we tried. Android 16 is using it as an inspiration for partition 90:10. This allows you to remove an apps, so it takes only 10 % of your screen, which helps the other app room to breathe. Taping the small app changes their positions, so you can exchange between them as needed.
Ironically, Samsung phones are currently the only Android 16 devices that can use this feature, because Google has not included it in the release for stable Android 16 pixels, nor for the existing beta for Android 16 QPR1. Hopefully it will change soon, as I would love to use it on my Pixel 9 Pro.
Advanced safety
Mashal Rehman / Android Authority
Advanced Protection is not as shiny or cool as the previous two entries, but this is a significant increase in Android 16. This is a combination of features designed to preserve your phone and data. Some of these security features are new, while others are present in the previous version of Android and are now grouping under advanced safety.
Current features, such as stolen protection lock, blocking the installation of the AP, browsing Android safe, and more, are all capable when advanced safety is activated. The new features include a USB Protection mode that defaults the new USB connection to charge only when your phone is lock, if your phone is restarted automatically if it is left useless for 72 hours, and even more.
None of this is as interesting as direct refreshments, but I’m glad to see in Android 16. Many of you probably do not install the Dodi app from a random website or how to find a scam call. However, many people enable all these features on their grandparents’ phone with a toggle, and allow me to worry less about them, which is something I welcome. Will it fully solve spam and malicious software problems in the world? Not at all, but anything that makes them easier to cope with is a good thing.
Android 16 is not a huge review of Android, but there are still some cool new features that are waiting to try when they will descend. I’m just glad I have already tested some of them in an UI 8 son, which already feels less and is less hacked than a UI 7. What are you looking for in Android 16 and a UI 8? Tell me in the comments.
