According to a new information report, Google has reduced its Google TV platform budget by 10 %. The decision is reportedly an impact on a quarter of the team working on the platform. As part of a large shift, it seems that Google focuses more on YouTube and its related products. The total budget for Google TV is about $ 500 million. The 10 % cut may look small in the first, but when about 75 75 of the 300 members of the team are paired with a couple, the effect is significant. The move shows that Google is adjusting its priorities.

Google TV company has a smart TV software and is already loaded on brands of brands like TCL and Hesens. It contains a layer of personal and content recommendations in the upper part of Android TV. But he has struggled to stand up against the strong competition of Roko, Fire TV, and Apple TV.

Nevertheless, Google says it is not far from Google TV. In a statement, the company said:

We continue to invest in Google TV with new consumer experiences, including the next integration of Gemini. There are more than 270 million Android TV devices, and we are committed to advancing the environmental system with an exciting road map.

Gemini is Google’s new AI model, and its integration on Google TV can bring new features. These may include sound control, better material tips, and smart navigation. If done well, it can help Google TV stay relevant in the smart TV market.

At the same time, it seems that Google is focusing more on YouTube. Just a few years ago, the company closed Google Podcast in favor of YouTube music, which raised questions about the feature difference between the two. Now, there are reports that Google can re -design YouTube so that it can be felt like a streaming platform like Netflix or Disney+.

These changes may include a new user interface focused on premium content, show styling programming, or subscriptions. Although no official announcement has been made, the direction is clear: Google is investing more in YouTube as its primary entertainment platform.

For now, Google TV will continue to exist, but the current budget cuts and the holidays. It seems that Google’s strategy is moving toward the platform with wider access and strong potential for development.
