I have said before and I will say it again: My Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is very good.
Whether I am gaming, taking selfies, watching the show, or reading the digital comedy book is far better than a non -folded pixel like Google Pixel 9.
But this is not perfect.

There are definitely ways in which it is struggling-not in the lower price department-but with the expectation of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 next month, there are many rumors that show that my favorite phone will get some serious upgrades.
There are four rumors with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 upgrades that I am most excited to see.
1. A better camera

I remember going to dinner with friends after some time after receiving Z Fold 6 and there were plenty of questions about them. The iPhone user was curious, but did not care about Android, and one of the Android users noticed that it was out of their budget.
Third, however, I wanted to get one for myself – even I mentioned the camera.
I had to be honest and they had to admit that the Galaxy Z Folds 6 would be reduced to their Samsung Galaxy S24 ultra, and that it was about to break the contract for them. And after experiencing a folder against other devices like Google Pixel 9 Pro, it is mostly a decrease against flagship phones, at least, the back camera ignores its ability to take selfies.
But the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 (Hope) is going to change the things of the better, finally the Foldable inherited its non -foldable cousin Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra from 200 MP main camera. It will represent a serious jump from Fold 6’s 50MP Main.
The only catch is that it apparently will not get the rest of the S25 ultra camera. Z Fold 7 is rumored to keep 12 MP ultra wide and 10 MP telephotoes from fold 6, rather than get a 50MP version of the S25 ultra. Moreover, Smart Money states that it will also lose an additional 10 MP telephone with ultra.
Nevertheless, if he gets 200 MP Main, it will represent a major upgrade – so fingers have crossed it.
2. A large screen
Another mistake in which I (and others) is with Z Fold 6 is that its screen is a strange proportion. It is slightly thin from the normal phone, which means that some apps may feel tight or cut off on the sides when using an external display.
Obviously, the big, the folded out display is exactly in terms of size-but you do not always want to expose your foldable.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 finally is ready to make the outer screen of Samsung more standard aspect ratio, while the current model also makes it bigger than 6.5 inches vs. 6.5 inches.
In addition, there is a rumor for upgrading the foldable screen: it is said that it is going from 7.6 inches to 8 inches.
Somewhere on the design, it is also in line when the open (instead of 5.6 mm) decreases only 4.5 mm. This is probably the reason why rumors also suggest that the battery will not get upgraded – which may be a bit bad news in view of the big screen.
3. A more durable construction

The rumor is that we feel the least confident, but this is an upgrade that will make me greatly appreciated Zo Fold 7 if it is true: better water and dust resistance.
It came from a source that was also teasing the size of the large display, so it may be correct, but foldables have historically struggled to handle the dust – or if they can repel the dust, they lose water resistance.
Z Fold 6 has an IP48 rating. This means that it is like most other phones in the market, like water proof, but can only be left behind the dust that is larger than 1 mm.
Some phones, including OnePlus 13, have defeated him by the IP69 rating. This means that a phone can keep all the dust out and not only avoid sinking underwater, but also cope with high pressure water jets (if it is important to you). IP69 You have more dust and waterproof than I need a realistic need.
Given foldables have naturally weak points that dust can enter I am not expecting an IP69 score, but an IP59 may be possible. This will see the water proofing in One Plus 13, but with the ability to have small dust particles from the IP48 offers.
This would mean that you still want to be careful with your foldable on the beach, but the sunshine journey through the coast may not be the same as the Dome as the galaxy Z Fold 6.
4. Out of an UI 8 box

This is the last dose.
It was very disappointing that many of us had to wait almost a year with the announcement of the Samsung users to announce an UI 7 of Samsung more accurately, which is Samsung’s Android 15.
This will not happen for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, because it is said that it will come out of an UI 8 (Android 16) box.
And who gave us this leak information? Well no one else is Samsung himself, so it has literally confirmed.
Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that Samsung will eventually tie one of its UI 8 roll -out to old devices, which will imitate the slow and slight chaos of a UI 7, but this is a huge leap in the right direction for better Samsung software support. And I’m all for him.
