Apple’s dynamic island feature has been a part of the iOS and iPhone for a few years, starting with the iPhone 14 Pro. Although this feature (which is a combination of hardware and software), from Apple’s history U -shaped display to modern capsule -shaped cavity was placed in the center in the center of its iPhone display, it was not well received. Initially specific to its pro -model, this feature eventually reached standard iPhone models with the launch of the iPhone 15. Now, a tipter claims that Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro Line is ready to introduce another feature, which will get rid of a dynamic island capsule if not in use, showing a very Android cavity for its selfie camera.
According to a recent Digital Chat Station’s Webo Post, Apple is probably developing a new feature for the iPhone 18 Pro and the iPhone 18 Pro Max in 2026. These will be LTPO panels with 1.5K resolution.
Although the aforementioned case is a matter of iPhone, this tipter also mentions that Apple will use HIAA technology for selfie camera, while the primary facial ID array will be pushed under the display, which will only expose the selfie camera.
This is exactly the opposite of the implementation of the current facial ID, which Apple has masked with a capsule -shaped software bubble with a dynamic island feature that depends on the work or direct activities. Knowledgeers are not an “island”, dynamic island, but it contains an Oblaving Camera Cut out (Facebook ID System) and a circular camera (selfie camera) cut -out, which contains a black software layer of display with each other.
Apple has said that HIAA or Hole is turning into an active area, which means that only a selfie camera will be visible to the user, while the fee ID system will be hidden exactly below the display. It would be effective to see how the face identification system and its flood lights and cameras (which use infrared lights) work through the display panel, but many people will be happy to see the black blob. Then it will become a premium or “pro” feature.
If it is really implemented that Apple moves forward next year for its premium pro models, then it remains to be seen what the dynamic island becomes, as the fee ID system (including a selfie camera) will be reduced to just one dot. Apple can really trigger a fake capsule -like blob around it, but it seems unnecessary that the hardware is shrinking and no longer needs a cover -up.
As it stands, the recently launched iPhone 16E is the only new smartphone in Apple’s lineup that did not get treatment for the dynamic island because this year is the first cheap iPhone to transfer the old Touch ID to the ID. Touch ID is still being used today on Apple’s MacBox and cheap iPad models.
