Xumi’s Redmi Pad returned! About three years later, Xumi finally released a successor, named Redmi Pad 2. From 2022, the Redmi Pad was well received in our review. We appreciated its compact and premium -visible design, its acceptable high refresh rate display and good battery life. Its capable processor also participated in providing good overall performance. For its Redmi Pad 2, Xiaomi has introduced some upgrades in different areas, but it will not get all your attention immediately. Since we have a bullet, let’s break it and find out what is new.
There are some upgrades in the design of the Redmi Pad 2, mainly due to the adding cellular contact. The UNBD metal design now has a plastic belt above, with half of the newly designed camera module in the back. It is in place to provide 4G cellular connectivity because the tablet now offers a dual hybrid SIM slot that accepts two nano SIM cards or a nano SIM + one microSD card for storage extension (up to 2TB). With a large display and battery, cellular contact addition, 510 grams for the Wi -Fi model and 519 grams for cellular models have been made heavy on Redmi Pad 2. And so, the tablet looks unexpectedly heavy, given its compact size.
Redmade Pad 2 is compatible with two optional accessories that have to be purchased separately
Xumi’s new budget tablet also contains some new accessories. There is no keyboard case yet, but Xiaomi sent an optional redemption pad 2 cover with the bullet to review. This is very fundamental in terms of appearance, but I like the display automatically after opening the display cover.
Another optional device is the Redmi Smart Pen. It connects through Bluetooth, features two butts of additional functions, and has a type C -USB port to charge, as well as a small LED light that indicates its charging and pair status. We will examine these optional accessories in our detailed review.
The original tablet is a large upgrade cellular connectivity. RDM Pad 2 Price RS. 4 GB RAM + 128GB of storage for different conditions, 13,999, which is only available with Wi -Fi and lacks cellular contact. Cellular contact l you, you will have to get out a little more and go for a variety of 6GB of RAM who offers 128GB storage and costs RS. 15,999. Top & Various Type 8GB RAM and 256GB storage offers and costs RS. 17,999.

Redmi Pad 2’s 2.5K display is potentially the second largest hardware upgrade after the cellular contact addition
Another major upgrade is to do with its display. It remains flat, but its size has increased from 10.61 inches to 11 inches. The important thing is that the screen is resolution, which has risen from 2K (1,200 x 2,000 pixels) to 2.5k, which you get 1,600 x 2,560 pixels with a sharp 274 ppI. The IPSLCD panel still has a 90 -hez screen refresh rate as before. It is of an adaptive type and basically switchs between 30, 60 and 90Hz. As a tablet, the display borders on the old redmi pad were quite thin, and their thickness remains almost the same in the new model. Given my limited use, I noticed that it was quite bright inside the house, but you would have to wait for my review to know if it performs well outside.

Redmi Pad 2 finally receives 4G dual SIM connectivity
There is a quad speaker set up with the new display that maintains dolby atomos and high residue audio support. This time the new addition is 3.5 mm headphones jack, which was missing the previous model. Now you can enjoy some good old FM radio through a plugin in the wired Iphone.
The new processor may look like an upgrade, but not. The Meditac Helio G99 has been replaced with the Meditik Helio G100 Ultra processor. It may look too much, but it is basically the same chip that has a new name. It offers maximum clock speed 2.2GHz, which is an octal cover architecture and is made using the same 6nm fabric process. It has the same Mali-G57 Mc2 as before. Therefore, we can expect the same performance data as we did a few years ago when we experienced the Redmi Pad. With the spraying of AI tools, with screen resolution and new hypersonal 2 (based on Android 15), we hope the processor will remain in our test.

Although the camera module design has changed, but the basic hardware remains the same as the Redmi Pad
A piece of hardware that can help keep the 6NM processor over time is more than 9,000 mAh capacity. It collides with an 8,000 mAh battery in the redmi pad. Charging is the same as before, on 18W, and we are glad to ship the bullet with charger and charging cable. However, the charger in the box is limited to 15W.
The cameras live as before. The 8 megapixel rear camera with autofox and a 5 megapixel front camera for selfies. The phone lacks a secure form of biometric verification (only 2D face unlock), and therefore you have to rely on a good old pass code or pattern lock to open the tablet.
Xiaomi certainly seems to provide some interesting upgrades on the previous Redmi Pad model. But seeing that his processor is the same, we are a little skeptical about his performance, which we will test for our detailed review. Xiaomi is certainly able to get everyone’s attention with the Redmi Pad 2, and the main reason is the cost. RS with bullet retail. For the variations of 13,999 base 4GB of Ram, it certainly makes an attractive option as a basic and budget media use device. But how does it perform with daily use? And are there better budget tablet options available at this price location? Find out more information in our detailed review, which will end soon.
