Android Automoto update will make it easier to talk to Gemini in your car

• The Android Automotive 16 updates introduces several jokes to the home screen, launchers and notification panels in the notification panel.

Just like Android on phones and tablets, Google pushes annual updates in its OS for Android Automotive OS (AAOS). Unlike mobile devices, this refreshment is usually small in the circle. For the safety, the platform in the car is deliberately more limited. Although Android Automotive will not be filled with a feature like Android 16 for 16 update phones, the home screen, launchers, and notification panel introduces multiple Latif UI changes, as well as make it easier to launch digital assistants.

Speaking of volume, popup Volume panel Re -designed. Now it is completely spread through the default and is no longer spread throughout the display, rather than it appears as a more compact overlay with a dim background. Each audio stream (such as media or navigation) receives a clear text label on its respective slider. A new button in the upper part of the panel launches the media output switcher, while a shortcut in the main sound settings is now sitting down. Finally, there is a new dedicated slider for the volume of navigation, and the name of the “color volume” has been renamed more descriptive “call volume”.

Notification panel Now a completely ambiguous background, the previous version features the departure from transparent transparency. This subtle adaptation should make the information easier to read on the road.

None of these UI changes are about to sprinkle, especially when Google recently announced for mobile devices compared to large content 3. However, it is understood why we are not seeing the major changes in UI in Android Automoto. Your main focus should be on the road while driving, not on your infotainment unit. AAOS was designed to minimize disturbances, which is why it avoids fancy dynamic images and bold colors. It was also designed to do a lot of customization by car makers, however, it is unlikely that we will see many vehicles with this interface.
