Pixels are the best Android phones that can buy money, but if there is a problem that keeps them back to bother them, it is battery protection.
We have seen that more heat problems over the battery lead to Pixel 4A. Pixel 6A took it more, and in a dangerous case, it allegedly melted completely. Recently, Google admitted that a batch of Pixel 7A units was experiencing swelling in the “unexpected” battery.
In response, Google moves software updates that reduce the maximum charging capacity and speed, and offers a change or compensation in some cases. But these solutions feel like helping band aid on a problem that requires more permanent solutions, especially when there is a serious risk of protecting from swollen batteries, and Pixel phones expect to stay longer than thanks to Google’s expansion update.
So, we decided to ask our readers – are battery concerns away from the pixel phone? In view of the safety implications, you will expect the answer will be a sharp “yes”, but interestingly, the results of the survey conducted on our site are deeply distributed.
Are battery concerns you get off the pixel?
We received about 3,000 votes in our survey, asking people whether battery protection or lack of battery would remove them from the pixel phone. 46 % of the respondents said they were really worried about the pixel battery safety. On the flip side, it is said to be about 44 44 % that they are not very upset and still believe that the pixels are solid phones despite repeated problems. The remaining 10 % were unnecessary.
This is amazingly close partition, and comments have just given us a better sense of hesitation and pixel users (and potential buyers) of trust.
What are the readers saying
Some surveyors expressed serious concerns based on their personal experience. One user said that despite trying to try several chargers, including Google’s official accessories, his pixel was 6A hot. “I am not sure what I have to do and worry about leaving him for a long time,” he said.
Another reader pointed to several events in his friends, including a pixel 7 that caught fire. He commented, “It looks like more and more real problems, and that corners cannot be cut off.”
Some comments also show signs of loyalty to the Pixel brand. The owner of a Pixel 6A noted, “At this time, my 6A is getting hot, but there is no other problem. I am not going to take any other pixel next year or after. I will look around and see what else is available. I am disappointed that they have reduced my phone.”
Pixel battery issues are not clearly universal, but they are not so rare to ignore.
He said, enough respondents also defended Pixel phones. One user remarked, “I have never had a problem and is owned by every alliance/Pixel,” while another said, “I have never had a problem with a pixel other than some dumb things, and this is probably my fault.” Clearly, not all Pixel users are facing battery problems, and many people are sticking to this brand.
Meanwhile, some readers also argued that battery problems are not unique to Google. One user noted, “Two Pixel 7A and now one pixel was 9A. There is no problem.” “Isn’t it just in nature what are the ingredients with sufficient fluctuations? What can happen if any lithium battery is not treated properly?”
The lower thing and what we collect from the survey results is that the pixel battery problems are not clearly universal, but they are not so little to neglect. Some users have tremendous experiences with Google phones, while others have to worry or face more heat, swelling, and even dangerous failures. That said, one thing is clear – for a company that now promises seven years of updates, Google needs more work with patch things with software.
