I don’t think I can continue to recommend Google’s Pixel phones

I like a good pixel. I have owned many, defended them in hot group chats, and even turned some friends into this goal. But recently? I’m hesitant – difficult. Elephant in the room, if you haven’t felt, there are batteries. “Oh, it doesn’t last all day” – we’re talking about swelling, melting and potentially exploding. Such a hardware horror that once tanked the Samsung Generation is now affecting Google’s backyard.

If you have lost this story, earlier this year, some Pixel 4A owners discovered that their battery life had gone to the trash during a single refreshing. Google quickly rolled the Pixel 4A battery performance program to replace the cells, but remained very quiet about why it was suddenly happening. Finally, a local memory revealed the fact: batteries can be hot and potentially causes burns or injuries. The problem is bad, but the lack of future explanation has worsened it.

Are battery concerns you get off the pixel?

    Yes, I’m worried.

No, the pixels are still fine.

Now, as the fire is set, there is a pixel 6A. Google is once again forced to refresh some models to prevent too much heat. Even we have seen pictures of molten Pixel 6A for hammer that this is not just a slight software patch – this is a very real problem. Even if only a small hand sets are potentially at risk, batteries are not fun to explode – they are a threat to you and your home.

If this was not enough cause for concern, in April, Google admitted that some pixels 7A units were affected by the “unexpected” battery inflammatory. Once again, the solution is to offer alternative batteries or financial compensation and move forward. It’s all good and good, but only a small consolation for users who suffered, not mentioning the risk, swollen batteries, and another reason for the rest is that they think twice about picking up a pixel.

Suppose it was just a model – a fluk, maybe. Two About but three pixels smartphones with battery problems, all identify each other in a few months? This is a trend, and not good.

Once it is unfortunate, but three models are a model that I cannot ignore.

The common dominator is that these problems affect Google’s cheap Pixel A model. Many models in which I was confidently recommended with friends and family for their cost, convenience and long life. But when the batteries cannot be left, what is good for updates? Are? I do not know that Google is source of bargaining batteries to save costs, but it will undoubtedly spend a lot of time and money for the company’s right and worse, its reputation.

    Trusting hard, difficult to recommend

Well, but of course Google has improved Google’s quality control over many years? Well, the Pixel 9A was stumbled by the blocks for a few weeks due to the ‘component quality problem’, as Google said. Once again, it was not too late for speculation to grow that more heat was once again in the game, possibly this time the camera, may be the processor… or yes, the battery. We can only hope that this was not a battery – but whatever was, this is another poorly explained pixel problem.

My internal fan wants Google some silk cutting and hopes that the battery will not stand with the latest models. I still like to use a pixel phone. The software package is the best in the business, the cameras are fantastic for this amount, and Google’s AI smart pixels give one edge to all of their prices. This is for the reasons that Pixels, and especially a series of affordable, has been my choice for friends and family for the past few years. The promises of the fast strong update have only reinforced their case, but now the effort has been seriously overwhelmed.

Pixels have been choosing my outgoing price, but now how can I recommend them?

Of course, the Pixel series still value. Some bad apples do not spoil this group: There is no evidence that the wider range is affected, and Google has powers for those who are. This is the last thing we hear about, maybe Pixel 8A and 9A will be fine.

But these are a lot of mebus, and when people ask me which phone to buy, they are trusting me that they are not with choosing the right phone as they need – they are also trusting me in peace. This confidence makes a difference. Google is losing me, and I can’t give this risk to anyone else.

I have always recommended pixels with good faith. Right now, I can’t do that right now.
