Although this home networking Wi-Fi is stuck in 6 periods, the ASUS RP-AX58 makes the most part of networking and comes closer to the Wi-FI 7 extenders performance. However, it lacks the ability to use 6GHz networking band, it has a Gigabit Ethernet port and does it without a USB connector for data drive. Dressed in the fade white finish, the ASUS RP-Ax58 Extendant measures 5.9 x 2.8 x 2.2 inches, making it the largest expansion in the market. Its two prong plug means that it will work in older homes that lack ground outlets and covered with ventures to keep the back cool. The extension can adjust the adjacent plug and can stand on its own if used with the extension bone.

In the front of the RP-X-58, there is a raised picker peak that runs from the corner to the corner with the angle LED bar in the bottom. When it is white, the extended is working fine, but the red does not indicate any active signal.
Like others, there is no on-/-off switch, but its WPS (Wi-Fi Safe Setup) key allows you to add it to a network quickly. There is also a Reset Reset button to restart the resetting procedure. That said, RP-Ax58 lack USB port to add data drive. Its gigabit is the second best compared to the 2.5GBPS port of Wired Ethernet connection per second.

In a series of real-world tests in my 3,500 square feet home, using the auto-ixchariot networking benchmark for the imitation of hungry users by 10 data, RP-Ax58 did a great job of filling Wi-Fi dead zones. Net Gear Night Hawk, 40 feet away using the RS 600 router and the Extendant, managed to operate more data than the other WiFi 6 rivals.

Along with the Extendant and Acer Swift Edge 16 test system, the throttle of the Extendant targeted 449.6 MBPS, which is about 50 % at the speed set by 663.5 MBPS of Wi -Fi -7 -run Re655BE. With 10 feet between the extender and the test system, the throw pits increased to 490.2 MBPS, which is far from 719.5 MBPS of 655b, but also ahead of the other WiFi 6 extended, such as 203.7 Mbps or 383.1 Mbps of the Re7350.

Over two weeks, I used RP-Ax58 daily to transfer emails, transfer data and watch 4K videos. Its passive cooling placed the extended temperature below 98 degrees. Its 5.3 watts of power consumption was in the middle of the pack. If it runs all day and night, if you pay a national average of 16 cents per kg, RP-58 should increase your annual electricity bills by about $ 7.40.

That said, the network tool includes a good network analyst that shows all local Wi -Fi networks and Wi -Fi signal page with a signal power graph. There are diagnosis of Ping and Trace Route, but the basics are missing, such as the ability to use detailed networking data to adjust the extended settings or to close the LED.

Asus RP-Ax58 Review: Decision
It may not be the fastest expansion of the planet, but Asus, with his RP-58, performed beyond the standard of Wi-Fi 6. It loses the ability to tap the Wi-FI 7 6GHz data band and 4K QAM but the RP-Ax58 is the fastest way to expand the wireless network, especially shut down and will fit into the ASUS Aimesh network as an additional node.
