It is said that India Sanchear Nigam Limited (BSNL) is said to have plans to install additional 4G tower in India. According to a report, the government telecom operator has to improve its network infrastructure by adding an additional one million towers to the country after the successful deployment of one lakh 4G towers earlier this month. Meanwhile, it is also inviting public suggestions for the name of its 5G services before the trial begins.
Deployment of BSNL’s 4G Tower
In a conversation with the New Indian Express, Dr. Chandra Shekhar Pemisani, the Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Communications said that the Department of Telecommunications (DOT) will soon seek approval from the cabinet for the extension of BSNL’s 4G services in India.
“After successfully installing 100,000 towers with a maximum of 4G devices, we will approach the cabinet and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for approval of 100,000 towers,” the official told the publication.
In addition, the state telecom operator also plans to increase its cash flow and install 4G and 5G devices in addition to the mining of its assets. The minister also paid attention to the preliminary issues, before which was reported about the performance of BSNL’s 4G equipment. The official noted that the equipment used by the telecom operator is indigenous and is improving and reforming to reduce the problems, emphasizing that “significant” improvement has been brought.
Dr. Chandra Shekhar Pemisani added, “We expect it to work close to Kamal by the end of July or August next year.”
