Update, June 11, 2025 (4:51 pm et): Google’s spokesperson shared with the following statement Android Authority:
To reduce the risk of heat from a potential battery, the pixel 6 A phones subset will require a mandatory software update. The update will enable the battery management features that will reduce the capacity and charging efficiency after reaching 400 charge cycles. We will contact the affected users next month, with all the information they need to solve the problem.
This statement confirms that Google will soon release the mandatory software update to “Pixel 6A Phone Subset” to reduce the risk of heat more than a potential battery. The original article, June 11, 2025 (2:05 pm et): Google’s Pixel A Series offers some excellent price for money in Android phones. In July 2022, the line really targeted its success with Pixel 6A, which brought Google’s flagship tensor processor to the price of the middle border-a trend that continues today. We occasionally hear smartphones about the fire or exploding. Although these are often isolated events, sometimes they point to a more wider, basic error in the device themselves.
