The Xbox has revealed its new handheld line, ROG Xbox Elly and Ely X, developed in partnership with ASUS. And I had a chance to play during the Summer Game Fest. My colleague Tom Warren has already broken how handheld works with its operating system, UI, and Xbox app and third -party game stores. Meanwhile, I will be involved in the simple experience of playing the Dang thing – and the biggest seller’s place for me was comfortable.
Despite my best efforts, Eagle -Eye Xbox PR Rups didn’t let me look at the device’s store front and not expected as expected Hollow Night: Silksong. So for this short review, I will cover the game that I had to play- Gears of Battle: Reloaded.
I can summarize my experience with the ally X (as I remember, the less powerful white Xbox ally was not available) with some words: I need it. The ally X felt almost as much as Steam deck. But with the grip of his hand, the Xbox controller’s form element was designed to resemble, it felt like a dream.
I have struggled with my steam deck for a long time because it is not comfortable in holding. After the expansion gaming session, my hands are tightened in the claws that take a moment to regain their flexibility and normal use. Although I was not able to spend hours playing for the end of my hands to test the endurance, I can make a difference in my fingers in moments of lifting it. It felt Nice Keeping both weight and form factor.
As is to play GearsIt was a smooth experience. Microsoft had a remaster of the seminal Xbox Shooter (its second remaster in the 25 -year history of the game), which supported the game. I first played on the regular ally, then I went to the ally X, and the differences were precisely but notable. The device felt the weight compared to the steam deck. I performed better on the ally X, which may already be a part of warmth, but my shooting was tough and more accurate.
Dispute, between the ally and the ally X, I didn’t feel any difference, but I was not really looking for anyone. I was so fascinating that it felt comfortable in my hands that any graphical differences could seem less important than that. I wish I could decide to load more of the house in sports or jump into the Xbox Games from steam games or watch sports anywhere than the Xbox Game, which continues to the Xbox or more than the cloud. But as I said, the eagle -eyes PR people kept it to one Gears Just demonstration.
I like the portability of my steam deck, switch, and PS portal. All three are my preferred ways to play on my desktops and consoles. Although there are still many question marks around the Hafl X, especially with its interface and how it remains in long sessions, this little comfort has made me a long journey to sell me on portable Xbox.
