The Starling Bank, one of the UK’s Digital Challenger banks, has launched a new AI -powered tool that will answer questions about your spending habits. Now you can easily know how much you have spent on Amazon in a particular month, how much money you have wasted on fast food outlets over the past year, or how much cash you have received in a particular period.
Starling’s AI tool, or a better search, as the bank called it, an optim feature that enables an indication where you can ask questions about your spending habits. This device, made with Google Gemini, also suggests indicators that make your spending samples personal.
The transaction is listed by the retailer and is automatically composed in more than 50 customized categories, such as bills, transport and grocery. This makes it easier to see how much you have spent on a particular retailer during a period, or how much you spend on a category like food. I checked to see how much I spent on McDonald’s over the past one year, and just say that I was away from the Big Macs for the near future.
You will be offered a graph and analysis about your spending habits in a particular category, as well as a deterioration of individual payments. This helps retailers in banking apps to solve the problem of the ability to track your payments, but easily unable to manipulate this data and really understand your financial matters.
“We believe anyone and everyone can be ‘good with money’, so we have designed this feature so that people can engage in their financial affairs as they feel natural,” says the Starling Bank’s CIO, says Harriet Race. “The more you talk or type, the more you will learn about your money management.”
Starling is one of the few major digital banks in the UK that has just taken a mobile approach to trying to shake banking in the UK. Starling now has 4.6 million customer accounts, which compete against more than 12 million users of Monzo and more than 10 million Revolute. These three digital features are still far ahead of traditional banks, including virtual debit cards, ability to track spending habits, and real -time transactions.
