- Apple is developing a “call screening” with iOS 26.
- Call screening collects information from the collar and provides details to help you decide whether to respond to the call.
- There is also a “Hold Assist” feature.
It is not uncommon for Apple to inspire Android. Of course, it is also on the other way. The latest example of this comes in call screening with iOS 26.
During the WWDC event, Apple revealed that iPhone users will soon find a feature to help them whether they should respond to a call. Called “Call Screening”, this feature will be a part of iOS 26. As the Capartino firm has explained, the call screening will collect information from the collar and they will present the details to you, so you can decide to ignore or respond.
If it seems familiar, the reason is that since the Pixel 3 has been the same feature of Android. Call screening is a beautiful easy tool to help you avoid telemarkets and other spams. Despite the clear copy of Google here, it was a pleasure to see that people on the other side of the corrosion eventually get a feature that they should have long ago.
With call screening, it seems that iPhone users are also getting a feature called “Hold Assist”. If an iPhone user is calling a business and has been stopped, they will be able to get a notification when they are directly available. Hold Assist is just another feature that Android users have been enjoying for years, called Hold for Me.
