    • On the prices imposed by the Trump administration, especially from steel, aluminum and Mexico, Canada and China, they are expected to increase domestic equipment prices.
    • Imported ingredients and appliances outside the United States are at risk of rising prices due to especially revenue.
    • Smart appliances containing semiconductor chips may face even higher prices when additional taxes are imposed on semiconductor.
    • Experts suggest the purchase of essential devices later due to the increase in future prices and proposes the construction of a sale or savings fund to cover the costs.

Over the past few months, you have heard more about taxes than ever before. Tariffs have been the focus of President Donald Trump’s second term, and many companies have announced a hike in prices to meet tariff costs.

Trump recently announced that new prices on steel and aluminum imports will begin today, which can especially affect domestic appliances. Experts say, you can pay a higher price on your next vacuum, washing machine or refrigerator.

“We expect this year to increase the price of home equipment,” said David Wark, the executive vice president of the Over Hall, the Executive Vice President of the Over Hall, and the former head of the global supply chain technology in Microsoft, Microsoft, and Microsoft. “Refrigerators, dishwasher and washing machines are particularly weak because they often contain a high percentage of foreign ingredients – even when the final assembly occurs in the United States.”

The CNET has covered the Trump administration’s tariff policy and changes, and we have already seen that manufacturers and retailers raise prices on laptops, toys and grocery. With domestic appliances, price hike depends on numerous factors, including where the goods accumulate, where the parts come from and whether the semiconductor is quiet.

Here you need to know about revenue and how they can increase the cost of home appliances this year.

How do taxes affect domestic goods prices?

We can see that homes’ goods prices increase on products that are made in prices -affected countries. Since the imports are paid by the importing company, prices are usually given to consumers in the form of higher prices, though the price hike cannot be a ratio of 1 to 1 with the rate.

This is not applied only to the accumulated products that are made elsewhere and then sent here to sell it. Many products that accumulate in the United States contain imported ingredients.

According to Travis Tokar, a professor of supply chain management at Texas Christian University, materials such as steel and aluminum are often at risk of imports and prices, such as pumps, motors and hoses, so the goods that include these parts can see a significant increase in prices.

The prices of home equipment depend on how to affect revenue, such as equipment, size and where it is manufactured. Babak Hafizi, CEO of Hafej Capital International Consulting and Investment and a associated professor at the University of American University, said that the big equipment would be the most difficult, but it is difficult to predict right now.

The highest risk rates of the home include 50 % tariffs on imports of all steel and aluminum, 25 % tariffs on goods imported from Mexico and Canada and 30 % tariff on imports from China. More prices have been temporarily stopped in Mexico, Canada and China, but it may change in the coming months.

“Many of them will depend on the contract with Mexico as many major devices accumulate in Mexico,” said Petty Jordan, an associate professor of professional practice at the Blue School of Business. “Products manufactured in China, such as vacuum cleaner, air purifier and small devices, will definitely be affected.”

The Trump administration has also emphasized its policy policy, making it difficult for the industry to predict what is next. Buffington added, “This is a tariff strategy that leads to the instability of the supply chain-at least,” at least so far. “

Can smart household appliances see even more than a rise in prices?

The Trump administration is talking about separate semiconductor prices that can affect the prices of anything through a smart chip, including laptops and smart home tech. If started, an additional tariff on the semiconductor can increase the cost of smart devices.

“If the semiconductor prices are implemented, the smart devices will feel completely squeezed,” Warrick said. “These products – think that smart fridge, oven, robotic vacuums – rely on imported chips and modules. The more ‘smart’ tech is made in a devices, the more exposed.”

Business Technology Research Firm, CEO and President of the Area Institute, Sean Duberoick, added that lower -priced domestic appliances using semiconductor technology may face even more percentage than prices, as these items have low margins and they are less likely to absorb prices.

Experts also noted that it would be difficult for the government to know that when a semiconductor is silent in a product and it is costly. “It will be impossible to manage,” said Jack Buffington, Associate Professor Jack Buffington at Denver University. “How the customs will be able to determine which products have chips, where they are from, and will there be only one tax for any product with a tariff or a chip through a chip?”

Since the semiconductor tariff prices will be complicated, it is possible that domestic appliances, especially fully developed outside the United States, avoid the semiconductor’s separate taxes and instead tax the category rate of their products for the exporting country.

“The product that is manufactured outside the United States and imported as the finished product will only likely face tariffs associated with the product category and will result in any semi -conductor tariff,” However, home appliances that are developed in the United States are likely to face a semi -conductor prices if the ingredient is potentially imported.

The only reason for the rates is not that we will see the rise in the prices of appliances

Experts expect the prices of home goods to rise, but the revenue is not just guilty. Companies are also looking at other expenses when deciding to raise prices.

Jordan said, “There are many factors that affect the price of a product in addition to a new tariff.” “Transportation costs, labor costs and material costs. Equipment manufacturers have to weigh on the effects of each of them to determine their products.”

Which household goods will see the biggest increase in prices from revenue?

It is difficult to predict how the Trump administration will take its price strategy. Currently, based on implementation and future suggestions, experts say the following devices can see the increase in prices.

Equipment with smart technology, such as smart refrigerators or smart washer and dryer, can see further increase if additional semiconductor tariffs are implemented. How can the prices of all kinds of household goods increase here?

Well, the possibility of increasing device prices will increase. Should I buy or wait now?

Currently, more tariff interval for China ends on August 12. Most air purifiers will be exempted from 25 % of Mexico’s revenue, but the deal is about to end in July. On June 4, steel prices increased from 25 % to 50 %.

This makes it difficult to decide whether you should buy a new equipment right now or wait to see how President Trump’s tariff war ends.

Jordan said, “This is a role in some extent.” “Right now, most of the inventory came to the United States before hitting prices, so if it is in stock, it can be the right time to buy.”

Dubravac agrees with this. “My suggestion is: If you know you will need it soon, buy now. Prices are likely to be more likely to fall, as tariff policy uncertainty adjusts looms and importers inventory strategies. Waiting for more is to pay for later.”

However, this does not mean that you should panic a new devices. Experts suggest sales like Prime Day and Black Friday to help meet the cost increase.

If you know that you need a new equipment this year, work to build a drowning fund-a short-term savings plan-and share in your fund with each pay check. If you need to provide financial support for a purchase, the element of how much interest your purchase may increase. Interest rates are still high, so if you put the purchase on a credit card and can’t pay it in one to two months, you may have to pay a higher price than you will cost.

Will buying goods help you save money?

In the context of Trump’s prices, the second -handed shopping market has ruled, and this year it may be a good way to make any compromise in your budget and to buy devices.
Experts do not expect the second hand market to look at the rise in prices directly, but note that if the demand for second -hand products increases, this is possible.

“The second hand market is a viable way to save,” said Warrick.

Purchase second -hand or broken appliances will not always save your money. Buffington said purchasing an old model or fixing some appliances can cost more than the price of the machine. “For example, washing machines are about $ 400 to $ 1,000, so fixing an item or buying something 5 years will not mean if life is 10 years.”

Is it a viable option to buy US accumulated devices?

Trump says one of his tariff policies is to encourage companies to increase manufacturing in the United States. However, it is not as easy as switches. It will take time to move manufacturing from abroad to the United States – and has a set of its own spending that can affect prices.

“Clearly, the hope is that all these changes will be caused by ‘products made in the United States’, but in reality we have not manufactured industries to manufacture these goods,” said Josh Fisher, an inventory management software developer, an inventory management software developer, an inventory management software developer. “It will take many years before taking advantage of these changes, if not at all.”

Although you can find devices that are deposited in the United States, it does not mean that all their parts were manufactured here. Many people have ingredients that are imported from other countries, which can increase the price tag, regardless of where it accumulates.

“What is happening in appliances is a microcomism in the larger story of the supply chain,” Warik said. “The revenue not only affects the manufactured goods. They affect parts, sub -assemblies and even packaging. So even if a product is ‘made in the United States’, if it contains foreign components, it is still weak.”
