The leading makers of foldables are in the race to reduce their devices – not only in the thickness but also in weight. Vivo Executive Boxyo Han shared a video of Vivo X Fold 3 and the next X -Fold 5 is being weighed on the scale and the new model is clearly lighter.
How to light? Well, the X -Fold is 319 grams, but no official number was given for the new model – so we can only say with certainty that Vivo X Fold 5 will be less than that.

According to the leaked species, the X -fold will measure 4.3 mm on opening 5 and will measure 9.33 mm when closed. The X -fold is 4.7 mm and 10.2 mm respectively. There are already devices that are thinner, such as Oppo Find N5 is 4.2 mm/8.9 mm, but weighs 229 grams. Ice University claims that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold will measure 7 4.2 mm/8.9 mm. Anyway, returning to the leaked species – Vivo X Fold will be run by 5 Snapdragon 8 General 3, apparently, the same chip that is at Fold 3 Pro. Its pair will be made with 16 GB Ram and 512GB storage. The phone will have a triple 50 MP camera in the back section, including 3X telephoto, and two 32 MP selfies (one on each screen).

We’ve taken some video (above) screenshots and you can see that Vivo X Folds 5 are really thinner than X -Fold 3. However, the phone is shown along its main screen, which does not show much details. It will be the screen 8.03 “120Hz” 2K+”panel, while the cover display will be 6.53″ 120hz Ltpo OLED. The battery is said to have 6,000 mAh capacity, 90W wired and 30W wireless charging.
It has not yet been officially confirmed, but it is expected that Vivo X Fold 5 (along with X200 FE) will be unveiled in just one month from July 10.
