We’re waiting for Apple’s WBC 2025 event next week with a bait breath, especially this year’s iPhone software preview, named as iOS 26.

Interestingly, it is interesting to find out what new features are coming to your iPhone – and Apple is expected from a new interface – not every device will be able to run a new update. With iOS 26 preview, we will also learn which iPhones will no longer be supported in Apple’s autumn.

True, you can continue to use the iPhone that is not running the latest software, though you will lose new features. And with some time between next week’s iOS 26 preview and full release at the autumn, you have enough time to know if you want to upgrade to one of the best iPhones and get the benefits of iOS 26.

So which phone is in danger of losing support when iOS 26 arrives? For most parts, the current iOS 18 should be able to upgrade the new version to the new version, though it has some remarkable exceptions.

Based on the reports that have been circulated back, when we thought that the updated the update would be called iOS 19, the current list of current iPhones is here that can be supported.

Unfortunately, it seems that Apple will not support the iPhone XR, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max with iOS 26. This is based on an anonymous account posts on X, which contain a strong track record for iOS updates properly entering iPhones properly.

The models of the iPhone XR and the iPhone XS will certainly not be understood by the refreshing iOS 26 starting in 2018. This means that by the time she will expire seven years when the release of full iOS 26 will come in the fall.

For most parts, Apple offers iOS support for at least five years for iPhones, although sometimes it has spread for six years.

Even the devices that can update iOS 26 may not be able to operate every feature, as some upgraded abilities are connected to more advanced hardware. In the case of Apple Intelligence, you need the iPhone 15 Pro or later to run Apple’s AI tools suit – something that is sure not to change with iOS 26.

As far as refreshing, we are expecting the key interface to be changed in iOS 26, Mark Gorman of Bloomberg has said that this update is one of the most dramatic software in the history of “(Apple).”

The WWDC 2025 continues on Monday (June 9), with a key note that starts at 1pm Et / 10 AM PT.
