Google Messages has begun receiving a material 3 expression change.
Material 3 Expression is the language of Google’s new color, customized and bold design. The style is a part of Android 16, which is still in the bet, but some apps such as Gmail and Photo, and now Google Messages, have already taken their first taste of the design.
According to 9TO5GOGLEOnly the Google Messages Chat interface has expressed content 3 for now. As often such changes are a matter of changes, you immediately. Can’t find, especially if you only give a look at the app, but look closely, and certainly, some elements of Google messages have been updated to reflect the content 3 expression.

For starters, the messaging thread is placed in a round edge container, and now the app has a dark layer.

The ‘Plus’ menu at the bottom is also a separate container with gallery, GIFS, files, locations, etc., which now lives in bullet containers instead of circles. The menu is the same background as Google Messages Bar has less density than before and icons are no longer colorful.
When you tap on the emoji menu, you will be shown an attached button group to switch between emoji, GIFS, stickers and photoshogs. It is also placed in a round container and the tab you choose becomes a bullet. The search bar has been moved down the button, so you will confuse it with the message field. Google messages users, especially Samsung Phone, can expect to see these changes at any time, at the beta version 20250528_00_Rc00.
Re -design for content 3 expressions Android 16 It was announced last month during the Android show of Google I/O. It will create an emotionally effective interface, or thus Google hopes, and will make everything easy to tease and use.
