YouTube shorts is getting a new important feature in the coming weeks, Google Lens Support. Google announced earlier today that Lens is coming to shorts on Android and iOS devices. This is part of a new son who will eventually be available to everyone who uses YouTube shorts.
Google refuses to copy Apple and makes most of its services special for Android, and this is the right approach, especially if you want to keep some Apple fans an opportunity to persuade your ecosystem.
But what can you do with Google Lens on YouTube shorts? For example, whenever you are looking at a short record in a place you visit, you will be able to choose a historical sign to identify it. In this way, you will be able to find more about the destination in terms of culture and history, if you are interested in such things.
Once it falls, here is that you will be able to benefit from Google’s new lens on the functionality of YouTube shorts:
- Go to the YouTube mobile app, then open the player’s player by tapping on the shorts tab or you see at home.
- Stop the short by tapping on the screen
- Select the “lens” in the top menu, then pull, highlight, or tap whatever you are seeing through Google Lens.
- You will see visual matches and search results short (and from there you can easily jump back into the content you were seeing)
If needed, YouTube shorts users can tap the bottom right of the screen to translate any title into the video.
It is important to point out that Google Lens will not be available for shorts with YouTube shopping links or with paid product promotions. More importantly, the search results will not be shown in the search results during the beta -stage of the lens.
According to Google, the new lens experience for YouTube shorts is coming to all viewers this week, but it will take weeks to reach each one. Also, as mentioned earlier, it is only available on Android and iOS mobile devices.
Despite the fact that YouTube shorts do not bring about no money for creators, regardless of how many millions they make, this is a good way to run new audiences in your YouTube channel. Google Lens is hopeful that YouTube will improve the chances of creators gaining new fans.
