Back in March, it was reported that the Apple was developing an AI health assistant designed to integrate with the health app. This feature was expected from this feature called “Mulberry”, that this feature would likely bring more intelligent health tracking and suggestions for iPhone users in the early 2025. But according to the new details of Mark Gorman of Bloomberg, the timeline may have slipped once again. This means that this year’s WWDC month will be targeted in the spring 20202020202020 in this spring. Public availability is at least one more year away.
Molberry is one of the many long -term AI projects that is working behind the Apple screen. The idea is to use a larger language model to help active health, based on the pre -protected data in the health app. Think of this as a doctor like an assistant that can identify trends, suggest prevention measures, or help consumers better understand their health measurement over time.
Unlike traditional health tracking features, which mostly collect and display raw data, mulberry will potentially be able to translate this figure in more conversation and context. Gorman had earlier mentioned that the system could also be tied up in Apple’s other welfare tools, including mental health tracking and reminders of medicines, which could include another layer of functionality in the health app experience.

This delay is part of a wider trend that we are seeing with the development of Apple’s AI. The company’s numerous highly expensive features, including Siri’s LLM -powered version and AI -based version of the shortcut, have also been slippery in 2026. While Apple is still expected to talk about AI in this year’s WWDC, it will likely be focused on the Foundation tools for developers rather than consumer facilities.
The good news is that the mulberry has not been abolished. Apple still sees health care as an important border for AI, especially when its devices continue to collect more biometric data through Apple Watch and iPhone sensors. But the delay means that the move has at least a year left to the real world.
If the spring 2026 launch is held, the mulberry may reach as part of the mid cycle update iOS 26Along with other health -related upgrades, possibly. Until then, Apple’s AI doctor will continue to work, which can eventually explain how we interact with our health data.
