tl; drag
- An UI 8 finally allows you to use indicators behind the Android 15 forecasts on stock Samsung apps.
- An UI 7 restricted the use of prediction back indicator to Google Apps.
- The feature is now active as default on the latest one UI 8 beta update.
The One UI 8 beta Galaxy has arrived for the S25 series, and we are digging into it to see what is new. A sweet improvement that we have received is that Samsung is eventually adding support to its stock apps to the back indicator of Android 15, a feature that (and is) is particularly missing from an UI 7 refreshing.
The prediction back was introduced with Android 15 and is active through default. This increases the navigation of the indicator by allowing users to preview the screen, which will allow them to return before the back indication is completed. In an UI 7, this feature mostly works with Google Apps. But with a UI 8 beta, prediction back indicator now works in Samsung’s own apps, such as:
- Watch
- Calculator
- Weather
- Settings
- Voice Recorder
- Link
However, the gestures still do not work in some Samsung apps, such as calendars and reminders.
Another notable change is that toggle for prediction back dynamic images is now visible in the developer options menu. In an UI 7, this settings can be found through a search bar, but will not appear when tape, almost almost as if it is invisible. This contradiction is set in an UI 8 son, where the sequence is now fully accessible. He said, we didn’t have to enable the toggle to predict Samsung apps.

One thing you need to know is that using the indicator behind the extended forecast in an UI 8 beta (or an old version in a UI 7), you need to disable one hand operation+ good lock module. If it is active, the forecasting back will not work. Of course, you need to enable indicators navigation to use the feature. However, as we have already discovered, Google is also working to bring back support for the three -buttons in the Navigation in Android 16.
