Google has begun to spread the Google Search Wedgeet Re -designed for Android phones. The previous look for the search widget was a pill -shaped field with the Google “G” logo on the left. When you move to the right of the tablet, an extra search shortcut can be seen, followed by a microphone icon for the sound input. The new shape begins with the same search bar with an additional circle in a container with the right side of the container to hold the icon of your selected custom shortcut.
So let’s repeat what the new shape features are. The “G” logo, which opens the Google app when the tape is, is left to the left with the microphone icon on the right. The Google lens is then to close the container. Then there is a separate circle in which you can add custom shortcuts. This new Google Search widget is a bit thicker than the old. The new format is 4 x 1 layout instead of 3 x 1.

In the end of the widget, to choose which icon circle you want for it, press long on the widget and tap the pencil icon that appears. It will take you to a page where you can select several themes for search widgets, including systems, lights, Dark, Device and Customs. Tap on the shortcut to choose the custom icon from these options:

    • None
    • Translate (for text)
    • Searching the song
    • Weather
    • Translate (Camera)
    • Game
    • Dictionary
    • Homework
    • Financial
    • Rescued

Remember that this is a Google search widget and not the iconic pixel launcher search bar. It is unknown whether the Google Pixel Launcher will add a new shape to the search bar, though at this stage there has been no change in the search bar.
