Apple was never going to jump on trends, it takes a sweet time and using just a new technology when it feels that it is adult enough. This may be the point that 200 MP cameras have yet arrived, as Apple is now rumored to test such a sensor.
There is no further information about the matter, so we do not even know which special sensor and for which camera, but this is still an interesting development. Of its rivals, Samsung has enjoyed using 200 MP for his Ultra’s main camera (and now S25 Edge), while most other companies have only done so much.
On the other hand, 200 MP Permacoop Tele Photo Camera has become an important place for Chinese smartphones in the past few months. The source of the rumor claims that it is a central camera that Apple is examining, but at this time it does not seem to be convinced.
The same enthusiastic leakage that goes to the Digital Chat Station on Webo has also highlighted Apple’s design strategy for the next few years.
