It seems that the data center is finally being recovered, which brought down the site for some users on Thursday, and there was a delay in Friday. According to posts on the company’s developer platform page, a “site wide closure” started on PT on Thursday, May 22, “was resolved” until 10:35 am on Friday morning.

The developer site notes that X is still experiencing the “harassment” of some of its login features. The company has not yet commented on the ongoing technical problems since Thursday afternoon, when the company said the data center closure is causing “performance issues” for some users.

X knows that some of our users are facing performance problems on the platform today. We are facing the closure of the data center and the team is actively working to resolve the issue.

At this time, reports about David.com, which track online service closures, increased when users reported direct messages and other features access issues. Although the company has not explained the cause of the long closure, timing lines with a fire at an X -data center in Oregon on Thursday. According to WiredFirefighters, on Thursday, 10: 21am, responded by firefighters at the data center leased by X near Portland, Oregon, at PT Land, Oregon. The damage limit is not clear, but the fire staff was reportedly on the scene for several hours. The batteries were apparently an important factor in the fire.

X has not answered questions about its discovered fire or data center closure. However, this first data center will not face a headache X. Immediately after Elon Musk took office in 2022, it called for the company’s servers to move out of a facility in California to save money. And while Twitter engineers insisted that the process would take several months, Musk insisted on moving them within weeks in an incident by a Musk biographer.

Although the Musk was able to fulfill its purpose of quickly moving the servers, its stupid approach to the move resulted in months of technical issues for the company and the Federal Trade Commission investigation.

Update, May 23, 2025, 12 pm PT: This post has been changed to reflect the latest updates related to X -updation of X. He was updated several times before, and now the information is included in the story.
