The first thing I have felt about Fijfil X half is how small and light it is. The camera is designed to give you no excuse – you should be able to bring with you everywhere. And after spending a few hours around the LA with the camera, I am starting to understand why you want.
The latest paper is not necessarily affected by the latest paper. The X -Half is a $ 850 camera that is vertically -based 1 -inch sensor that is able to take 18MP photos. There is no electricity or hybrid view Finder, no stability, no hot shoe, and it cannot even take raw images. It is very easy to see this list of lost features and ignore the camera altogether.
But the simplicity of X half is very high. This is a camera to take scrapes, take sharp images and catch memories. Many of its flaws have been masked with film imitation, filters and superpos grains. Its boundaries are a feature, not a bug.
The camera comes with a fixed 32 mm equal to F/2.8 lenses. Even despite all the extra grains and filters, I performed it very well. The dynamic range is acceptable with the natural highlight fall off, the edges are sharp, and if you plan accordingly, there is even some Bokia. But I didn’t want to take They Pictures of this camera with this camera.
The military filled the X -Half with several famous films, which imitates the form of classic films, and also included a group of new filters. Here is a mirror, mirror format (throwback on Apple’s photo booth, anybody?), Election color, dynamic tone, fish, and more. Some of them are straightforward, but some are cute and serious. My favorite light leak. This includes light leaks in your photos randomly, so you never know what you will get after shooting.
The upper part of the camera has something unique: a digital “movie Advance” lever. Liver cranking is essential for two new features of the camera, 2 of their 1 deputy and film mode.

Deputychs allow you to integrate two images together. This feature makes a lot of meaningful in a film camera, but the military is trying to duplicate the idea of the digital world. You start the lever by cranking, as if you are on a film camera. (Although unlike a film camera, a digital camera can also record a video, so it can now be part of your diptake.)
Then there is a film mode, designed to impede the analog camera more closely. It basically makes you out of using modern features and moving very quickly. There is no way to preview your shot on the main screen, you are forced to crank your imaginary movie before taking the next picture, you are closed in a particular look until you finish your “roll”, and you have no way to play the pictures you have just taken. This is easily my favorite mood here because it takes a lot of things that we use by digital cameras and force us to use this camera completely different.
This format covers why I do not mind the release of an electric viewpinder. The use of optical one in this format gives you your structure and your structure, and you will not know the results unless you work with your full role. Once you work, digital rolls “Revenge” and you can see your photos in the app. Unfortunately, the app has not been finalized and was not available during my demo, but the files are still stored on the SD card.

Just immediately negative, no pin intended, I’ve just seen that the camera feels a bit slow. Despite using a sharp SD card, the writing speed was slow and took me out more than a few times. It took a long time to save the SD with a photo and video. When using the movie mode, he also slowed me down, where you have to “move the movie forward” after each shot. I had to wait for the last picture to save myself before cranking myself.
Even the central touch screen, which is largely that you interact with this camera, was not as responsible as I want. There are two screens in the back. A tablet -shaped screen that facilitates you to select film Sims and navigate to the menos, and to change the settings and preview the images. Some input were not registering even after some efforts, and I was not the only one in the camera event with the same problem.
Despite these problems, I fully enjoyed my short time with the camera and was often pleased with the smart ideas of the Fijfal team that implemented here. I hope more companies will see hardware and make bold decisions with hardware and such software that will change the experience of the use of the camera.
There are far more capable cameras at a similar price. But if you are looking for something fresh and pleasant, the X half is forming to become a magnificent small camera.
