BloombergMark Gorman reports that Apple’s goal is to release smart glasses by the end of 2026. This product will be adorned with cameras, microphones and speakers so that the wearer can talk to the Voice Assistant. Glasses will also support activities such as listening to music, phone calls or listening to step -by -step instructions.
Apple has long been moving towards the final purpose of real -growing glasses, but has faced numerous obstacles to achieving its AI efforts to try equal with other rivals. We are expecting a lot of AI announcements during the WBC 2025 in a few weeks, but some of them may find suspicions after its Apple Intelligence Sweet’s slow and sometimes rocky rollout.
Meanwhile, other companies have already made waves with AI-capable glasses. Meta has seen a lot of success with her partnership with Ray Bean. Google recently unveiled new projects for glasses of Android XR mixed reality during its I/O showcase earlier this week. And the Openi is joining the hardware game, which is due to the acquisition of its Jonny IoK IO design startup, though it has not yet provided details on the planned plans. Apple’s project is more synonymous than the display model that Google showed, but we will soon hear more details.
Although Apple emphasizes smart glasses ready for next year, it has abandoned some other wear projects. According to Gorman sources, the company has left the camera -equipped Apple Watch and Apple Watch Ultra route. However, camera air pods are still in development.
