The Galaxy S25 Edge is amazing. I hope it will flop.
The only way to really understand the newly announced Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is to hold it in its own hands. On paper, the difference between its thickness of 5.8 mm and 7.3 mm of Galaxy S25+ does not seem important, but in practice, it changes rapidly how every phone feels. However, the novelty of any phone ends after a few hours, and at the same time when the reality begins. The S25 Edge’s reality is summarized by its 3,900mAh battery. The monster Snapdragon was made with 8 elite and 6.7 -inch display, which feels inadequate. Although the engineering of the phone is uncertain, the agreement that demands it looks great. More importantly, people have never asked for thin smartphones, especially not at the cost of battery life. As we have seen with the iPhone mini, people prefer battery life as much as possible. As a great design fans, I like experiences like S25 Edge. As a practical smartphone user, I hope it will flop and we will not get a second phone like this before resolving the battery problem.
Apple should overcome the inevitable changes
Among the regulatory pressure and legal conflicts, Apple continues to make suspicious decisions, just making claims that it has lost its way. Instead of listening to the developer community and re -considering its App Store policies, the company is doubling its role as a ruthless tax collector. The latest tactic to keep consumers in their wall gardens is to fear that the third -party payment systems are somehow more secure than Apple’s own. The move is not only enmity for developers and consumers, but it also contradicts everything that has made Apple the most successful company in history. Apple preferred its developers, users and great design. Now, this App Store purchases are fully fixed at 30 % fees. It will inevitably change, but how can Apple choose. One way is from regulators and judges’ decisions on both sides of the Atlantic. Hopefully, Apple will choose another and re -consider its policies, so the company’s attention will return to the important thing. If not, we can observe the fall of this Titan as someone thought.
Why is Sony not more successful?
Sony has just announced another terrific smartphone that no one will buy. Experia 1 VII best blends the world of smartphone that gives company skills in cameras, TVs and audio devices without a mirror. It adds a specific touch, such as 3.5 mm jack, an extra light sensor on the back, and front -facing stereo speakers, keep it separate from each other flagship. Compared to the seven -year promises of Samsung and Google, its only negative aspect is Sony’s software update for just four years of update. The result is a phone that is thrilling on paper but is unlikely to sell in meaningful numbers. You may accuse you of a limited availability or extraordinary € 1,499 price tag. I think the real answer is somewhere else. Another example of Sony’s flagship is that the phones that people buy are not the phones they claim. So unless Sony states that the headphone jack is to modernize like an IMSEG, the Xperia smartphone will be firmly stuck in the “second” section of the sales chart.
