Why can you trust the Tech Radar

We spend hours in testing every product or service that we review, so you can be sure you are buying the best. Learn more about how we test.

The most spectacular thing about the EKSA S30 wireless headset is its open design. This can be ideal for everyone who looks for a large, bold air cup or an invasive airbodes.

Unlike many Bluetooth headsets around, it has a twin head-each for an ear, with a moving mic on the left, instead of a single unit that exposes an ear (and all the office disturbances that come with it).

Talking about, the manufacturer claims that the Open Air Conducting Unit, despite hanging on the ear, reduces the mic of environmental noise by 99.9 %. That said, there is no ANC for audio, which depends on your POV can be good or bad.

It’s $ 150 retailer – though on Amazon, I saw it on sale at a mark of $ 100 / £ 100. But how does it measure? After meeting to find out, I took him to meet whether EKSA has complied with his promise.

The headset is well loaded in a bright orange box – a colorful theme that continues across the design from buttons to branding. As you expect, the sleeves are filled, guidelines and warranty cards. This is a good touch, maybe overwill, but ever since Apple launched its tech dominance, it’s all about making packaging and inboxing ‘experience’.

Well within the pad Carry case, you will find both headsets, sitting in a removable mold base unit that is not used for use. Headsets are also kept with hidden magnetic, which also prevents movement. The front of the base unit has a single orange button to turn on or off the headset.

There is also a USB cable clean slot in the front space. This is the case for my money, this matter offers all the protection of the need you need. It is lightweight, but feels durable – I put a lot of weight on it, and this structure is still maintained, which is ideal for travel, or leaves in a Manic Office.

The headsets themselves are lighter, with a plastic front and back, connected to a flexible rubber ear hook that can be adjusted for fit. With this price, I didn’t feel any sense of being too tight or too loose while using it, so it has to do something right.

The speaker parts of each headset are textward control buttons – once again, bright orange, so you can’t miss them. Positioning is good, but I found that their operation was a bit tight, with hard plastic never giving me an opinion when I switch or shut. I had to rely on small lights to check whether the headset is ready for a meeting.

These lights will also offer battery levels, red shining when they need recharge. The light on the Carrie case performs the same function, which shows green, orange or red, depending on how much the battery is charged.

The left airpace also contains a microphone that rotates easily. It is a button (guess what color) is on its end, but happily, it offers a better superstar experience, when a soft but definite click when depressed.

The biggest memories here are not allowing access to the USB-C charging port from outside the case. This means that when the battery is inevitable, you will need to take the base unit out to charge it. Like a solution found in the case for the Xbox Elite Controller, with a rubber cap that can be picked up to allow access to the charger, keeps everything clean and more compact.

Well, so this is a design-but how do they work in the real world setting? First of all, I wanted to know how the open ear air was delivered and sound. As a person who practically lives in his over -air sprouting Q20 headphones, I wanted to know if this headset would offer more breathing experience, especially in the hot weather.

And I was pleasantly surprised. Pulling my lobes, X -S30 felt comfortable – so light, in fact, that I almost forgot that I was wearing them. Before I knew what had happened, I heard an hour -long podcast once stirred with them or without moving their position. If you are using them only for meetings (even all day meetings), you will not have any problem with popting them.

However, this headset not just meets meetings on your desktop or laptop. As a Bluetooth device, it will connect your phone, allow you to respond to calls, play music and YouTube videos, adjust the volume or activate your phone’s AI assistant. It also worked well.

Even more importantly, with the right timbri and the bass, everything looks good (as is expected to a device that calls tubes technology as a sales location). The voices looked natural and real, none of the headset.

During calls and meetings I could hear others fully, and those who came to the call noted that my mic had provided clear audio. When I recorded myself to listen to playback, I experienced it too.

According to EKSA, the headset’s AI -powered microphone provides 99.9 % of environmental noise (Enc) technology. Such a personality is a red chorus for a bull for a reviewer, so I played a temporary test by playing YouTube videos of Tech Radar in different volumes during blacks. Once I went half a meter from the source and started speaking, no one could hear the background conversation.

Where users may find some difficulty transforming from headphones to headset, lack of noise cancellation on audio. But, then, I think this is part of the S30’s open ear design appeal, preventing the strain that is being pumped into your ears, and usually informs you of your surroundings.

Light, comfortable, breathing open air design, good audio. For me, the EKSA S30 headset collides with all the key boxes for those who want the unit for meetings all day.

The price may be slightly higher than that of some headset, but you get plenty of the box, which includes mold charging case for travel during travel and some decent tech that works within the twin headset, which includes the best audio description in the speaker and microphone.

Lack of ANC can prevent some users. However, I had no problem using it in a relatively quiet quiet workplace-and with AI-power Enc on Mike, other people in your meeting do not listen to all the backgrounds, even if you can.

    Should I buy AKSA S30?

    If buy it …

✅ ✅ You want an open ear headset: I really like how to compromise on audio, how the design of this headset does not stop you.

✅ ✅ You want a headset for use all day: I found the S30 so light and comfortable, I practically forgot that I was wearing it. Fit is still fit without being tight, and even if you are on blacks all day.

    If not buy it …

❌ ❌ You need ANC: Although the microphone prevents the noise of the background, the speaker has no active cancellation of noise. This can be a problem if you work especially in the noise office.

❌ ❌ You prefer headphones to the ear: It really speaks for yourself, really – if you want a traditional headphone, this model will not appeal. However, as a headphone addict, I got a lot to like and recommend here.
