Although the Apple Maps is a default navigation and mapping app on iOS, many iPhone users prefer Google Maps as they may already be addicted to it. Even using some iPhone Remember how bad was Apple’s map when initially was released as part of the Major IOS6 revision in September 2012. Countries, cities, roads, and even some states were misled or no name was shown.
The direction of the navigation was damaged and for example, Apple’s maps mistakenly sent the drivers to Mullara in Australia by mistake. These unfortunate iPhone consumers experienced higher temperatures than 115 degrees Fahrenheit, while having little access to water through the dangerous regions covered with toxic snakes. Police in Australia have declared Apple Maps “fatal”.
Instead of using the mapping data of third -party navigation firms like Tom Tom, Apple decided to start and collect its data from the beginning, especially sent lace vans to drive on the streets. At the same time, Some Apple employees picked up back bags with tracking devices to help them make records of sidewalks used with Apple maps.

Apple maps have been greatly improved in the past years, and while consensus is the opinion that Google’s maps are still good, the difference between the two is very tight. For example, I iOS 18, Apple has added the “note” feature to Apple’s maps that Google Maps also does not offer to its users. This is not a feature that Apple has promoted a lot. To access this, once you are looking for a place, you will see a round button that has a pulse symbol (+). Press it, and a new section appears, “add a note.”
Tap on “Add a note” and you will be sent to a page where you will be indicated to write what you want to remember about the place you are getting. The only person whose device is being used to write notes will be able to see it. For example, when you are going to Banja on western 56th Street in New York City, you would like to remind yourself that it is to die for a stack and chicken dinner.
This is a huge unusual feature that Apple’s maps should be able to find for no reason to use and Google Maps users want.
