In my view, it’s really hard, living in any environment where you will be customer -based customer. And if anything, Sonos is a customer focused. When you work, it is difficult and you do not understand the relative preference of your contribution. And we have really reset the ladder as much as the previous thing, and people understand how their work is focused on Sonos’ success today, and it really re -sets the cultural accent.
Ever since this app has expired, this year, all these updates and changes have come. When you are there, have this whole experience taught you something else about your users?
I think this is a part of the exit of bed every morning to do a reasonable task every morning is that Sonos is a really special place in our user’s life. I mean, we are sure we are voice tracks for barbecues and dinner parties. But it is not exaggerated to say that we are literally for birth, for death. I mean, for imagination, be honest.
Yes!
I mean, you can’t say this about Microsoft Excel.
Well, it depends on how strange you are, I think.
Yes, I think so. It is really an honor to work on something that engers in the emotional fabric of people’s life, but this results when we fail, which has an emotional effect.
I was talking to a user on social media a few weeks ago. He had trouble in his system, and it was the day to celebrate the 50th anniversary of his parents’ wedding. She just wanted music for the party. Where you can one day tolerate a hiccup in your experience at Instagram Scrolling Instagram, it has a different emotional wall when you can’t do music for a celebration in life once in life.
If anything, the experience of communicating with our users over the past 100 days is just what we do is just above the software. This is an emotional sound track for people’s lives. It just needs to work every time.
I would like to know about software hardware distribution. Sonos is mainly hardware products. How does your software help a company that lives on hardware or dies?
I mean, is very happy to work on our sound team and industrial design team and hardware teams. They are just the best in the world, and it is such a central part of Sonos’ clear identity. But Sonos is also a platform. Table stack software is the main dimension for each of our products.
If I want to criticize those years, I think we may not have invested in Sonos’ platform software at the right level. And in a way, the purpose of trying to re -art mobile experience was to treat it. But as we have stated, we made some mistakes along the way. And because I can talk with some confidence about the progress I have made, we have a really strong quantitative understanding of how the software platform is performing today in comparison to previous generation software. In dozens of matrix, the platform performs better than the software it has changed.
