Since the launch of Connect Plus in March, Garman users have been worried about the future of their equipment. These users are not just bothered by the introduction of the subscription service. There is a clear concern about what this paywill can mean to move forward. The recent income call shows that there may be some substance behind these fears.
Garman recently organized ANN Income call For the first quarter of 2025. During this call, the company announced an 11 percent improvement in the year, which earned $ 1.54 billion. When asked why the decision was made about the issuance of Connect Plus, CEO Cliff Pambal said:
I think we have been saying for a while that we are examining the opportunities for premium offerings on Garman Connect. I think the progress of AI and especially the AI -based insights for our customers was one of the things we felt that it was important to recognize the value of the investment that it takes.
Pambal mentioned that the company “felt as if it was the right time” and added that he had not taken away the free features of the previous. Although the Smart Watch maker may have no plans to remove the previous features, the adhesive confirms what users have been worried about for the past few weeks.
Discussing the various features offered by Garman, Pambal says, “certain people, we will potentially protect the premium offers.” This means that the company can focus on making a stronger offer by working on features other than connectivity, which will be hidden behind subscription.
One of the biggest complaints about Connect Plus is how bad it is, Garman wants to promote his service, it is not a surprise. Unfortunately, if connect Plus is to be serving subscription, such a move is necessary.
