For the next two years, Mang Chi Kov has issued his predictions for the iPhone launch cycle, including Apple has some big shakes upset than the tasks so far.
With this year, things are expected to be expected as expected. This includes standard iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro/Pro Max, as well as highly rumored iPhone 17 air (or slim, as he likes to call). There is no real surprise here, nor is the fact that the iPhone 17E is expected to launch in the first half of 2026.

According to Coo, this is in 2026 where interesting things will start. First, in the second half of the year, as usual, Apple will launch foldable iPhone, which has been in the rumor mill for a while, but we have not yet seen any concrete evidence. Along with the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max launch as well as the iPhone 18 Air.
If you think something is missing from this list, the reason is that there was. The standard iPhone 18 apparently will not be launched in the second half of 2026. Instead, it will be pushed into the first half of 2027, where it will launch the iPhone 18 E as well. After that, Coo expects the iPhone foldable 2, the iPhone 19 Pro/Pro/Pro Max, and the iPhone 19 Air (with a larger display than 18 air) will launch in the second half of 2027.
Kovo expects Apple’s iPhone launch schedule forward. Its reasoning is that this semicidal schedule will allow Apple to compete better compete in its rivals, especially China, where most brands follow a similar schedule. Even rival Samsung has just got a similar schedule for a while, which launches a standard flagship at the beginning of the year and foldable in the second half.

Coo also believes that Apple needs to offer more iPhone models that are currently doing to compete effectively. In addition, launching them all at a time reduces marketing efforts, and individual models make it difficult to stand on others. This standard model can be seen in pro models.
To reaffirm this, these are the predictions of the Kov, not on the basis of evidence or not rumors. However, Kuo’s reasoning has some logic and can be very accurate, based on track records.
