Samsung is allegedly working on a new artificial intelligence (AI) feature that will show users a summary of videos. According to the report, this feature is part of an UI 8 update of the South Korean Tech Dev, which is expected to be based on Android 16 and may continue in the coming months. The upcoming version of the OS can introduce the AI video summary tool, which is said to submit a text summary of any online video. This feature is allegedly working with a platform like YouTube and Vemio.
An UI 8 of Samsung can automatically summarize online videos
According to a semiguro ReportTech Dev is working on an AI feature that can produce any online video text summary. This post was featured inside the Samsung Internet Web browser inside the hidden debug menu. Since the feature is not active, even the app’s beta tester will not be able to access it.
The AI -powered video Smith feature is allegedly part of an UI 8, which is the next repetition of the company’s Android -based OS. It is speculated that it is based on Android 16, which is expected to be released in June, and may first arrive with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Philip 7. This feature can be part of the features of Samsung’s Galaxy AI Sweet.

A screenshot of this feature was also shared through the publication. On the basis of icon, users can activate the AI feature on any screen with an online video. Once requesting a summary, a sheet appears down with the Galaxy AI logo and shares a brief explanation about what happens in the video in the form of a builtpoint.
The alleged AI video also contains a “detailed” summary option in the feature feature that provides deep summary. The post was able to test this feature and found it absolutely accurate.
In particular, it is said that this is an on -device feature, which means it does not use Internet data and instead of sending data to Samsung servers, processing is performed locally using the device’s hardware.
