    Sony UBP-X800m2 4K Blu-ray Player Review: A minute Review

Sony UBP-X800M2 is the company’s flagship 4K Blu-ray player, and it is one that sits at affordable prices (9 289 / £ 299 / approximately AU AU $ 481). It supports Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos and DTS: X -sound tracks and different types of disk formats, including SACD. It also includes built -in Wi -Fi for streaming from apps such as Netflix and Prime Video.

Sony provides UBP-X800m2 image quality that competes with the best 4K Blu-ray players, which shows accurate texture, bold color and excellent contrast. It regularly demonstrates excellent advanced levels with both Blu -ray and DVD development. This film cannot maintain the grain as much as rivals Panasonic DP-U-820 (something to keep in mind for film cleansers), but it is still a great player. Make a pair of excellent TV, it will present any home theater system well.

The X800m2 interface is on the date and the simple aspect, but it is very responsible and easy to navigate. There are many settings on the offer for both video and audio, but with frustration, it needs to close its dolby vision sequence or depend on the disk. The player himself is assuring the price, though the lack of the alphanaric front panel display is frustrated.

Although the X800M2 cannot offer as much as Panasonic is DP-Bub820 and it does not provide the same price as Sony UBP-X700, it is still a wonderful 4K Blue Ray player. Find it with an excellent OLED TV, and you will be happy.

    • Release Date: May 2019
    • Price: 9 289 / £ 299 (approximately AU AU $ 481)

Sony UBP-X800m2 Sony’s flagship is 4K Blu-ray player, sitting above Sony UBP-X700. At the time of the launch in May 2019, it costs $ 299 / £ 350, which was competed directly with Panasonic’s mid-range 4K Blu-ray player, Panasonic DP-U-820.

After many years of launch, prices have been widely changing in the United States for X800m2, though discounts show. In the UK, the stock is becoming thinner, most units are available in the second hand. In some cases, prices also rose (in some places in a dramatic way), but I would recommend buying it only at its initial launch price or around it.

    • Dolby Vision HDR Support
    • SACD Playback
    • Built -in WiFi for Streaming

Sony X800m2 has a comprehensive disk support, including 4K Blue Ray, Blue Ray, DVD (in multiple formats), CD and SACD, after which many 4K Blue -Ray players are not helped, including more premiums like Panasonic UB9000.

For HDR formats, X800m2 supports dolby vision and HDR10 but not HDR10+. ۔

X800m2 supports dolby Atmos and DTS: X (Bit Stream) and Dolby Dolby Tree HD and DTS-HD Sound track. The HI-Rres Audio also helps through USB, which includes 24-bit files and DSD (11.2 MHz).

The X800m2 includes two HDMI outputs, a Samakashi Digital Audio Output, a USB port for audio and video file playback, and Ethernet port. It has a built -in Wi -Fi for streaming, which has access to some of the best streaming services, including Netflix and YouTube, and BBCI Players are already installed for users based in the UK. There are no analog audio outpatches found on Panasonic DP-UB 82, but there is a Bluetooth wireless output for the headphones. I tested this feature while watching La Laland, And the connection was only solid with the least delay.

X800m2 is accountable during use and it is easy to visit the men’s. There is a good number of image settings, including multiple 4K advanced options, and audio parasites to improve the quality of low resolution files. As long as it is easy to navigate and read, the interface itself is on the simple aspect, and it has a more old look as it has more budget Sony UBP-X700.

The frustration from Sony UBP-X700 is that the dolby vision should manually turn and turn off the disc. It does not work automatically like Panasonic players. Instead, the dolby vision sets up the dolby vision, regardless of the content of the X800m2 disk.

    Sony UBP-X800m2 4K Blu-Ray Player Review: Performance

Sony UBP-X800m2 Panasonic OLED MZ1500 Screen-connected Panasonic OLED MZ1500 Screen

With UBP-X800m2, images are terrific in contrast (Image Credit: Future)
    • Excellent picture reproducing
    • Effective Advanced
    • The times of a sharp load

X800m2 showed a short burden time in my test. The first logo appearing on the screen took about 30 seconds from the disk in the disk tray, which is faster than the Panasonic DP-U-820, 5-10 seconds and is a complete 30 seconds faster than the Panasonic DP-U-150.

For testing, X800m2 was connected to a Panasonic MZ1500 OLED TV.

X800m2 showed the best quality of the picture. See 4K Blu -ray BatmanBlack surface was rich and deep, and vice versa. The structure and details were real with life, and the Dolby Vision HDR added additional visual cartoons. It was a similar story Open Hymer: Black and white scenes were presented with a whole range of brown heads, which created a balanced and dynamic image.

The colors were also offered a large amount of dynamic cartoon. In the early impulse of La Laland (In HDR10), the full row of bright clothing on the display looks natural, still clear. The same was true for the later scene, where the MIA’s yellow dress is shown against a dark background, though I have seen that my reference to X800m2 is a cooler color palette compared to the Panasonic DP-B820 player.

X800m2 also performed excellent advanced. Blue -ray version is looking BatmanPhoto was very close to the 4K version, which had only a slightly soft -looking texture. A DVD of Amazing spider man Not Enough Press 4K quality, but cleaning the texture has improved the quality of the image.

Although X800m2 showed most of the accurate reproduction with films, it smoked some movie grains, which is something that Purest would like to take. A scene I saw from a blonde ray Thief There is a high level of film grains, and when it was mostly maintained, the picture is more clean than the same disk played on the Panasonic DP-U-820. For the same situation too BatmanDeliberately gray film.

X800m2 played the Dolby Atmos sound track flawlessly and CD playback was also released.

    • Performance Score: 4.5 / 5

Sony UBP-X800m2 4K Blue Ray Player Review: Design

Sony UBP-X800m2 Front Angle Wau Sit on White Stand

UBP-X800m2 has a solid, strong design, but alphanomeric LED Front Display lack is disappointing (Image Credit: Future)
    • Solid, premium design
    • Front panel is not displayed
    • Cheap remote

For the middle -range player, X800m2 has a premium blood quality, which contains a weight of metal and plastic, solid chassis. This design is ordinary simple black, but it looks like a sleek and less than rival 4K Blu -ray players.

Like its phased X700 counterpart, X800m2 does not have a virtual LED display on its front panel, which makes it easily difficult to tell where you are in the film or see which screen/functions you are using. It is disappointing that Sony’s flagship player lacks this feature, which provides Panasonic players.

The remote provided by X800m2 is active, but sadly it feels cheap. This is a small improvement provided with Sony X700, but it is still not as easy as remotely provided with 4K Panasonic players.

UBP-X800m2 has a overall image quality but it is in favor of a cool color palette, shown here during La Laland (Image Credit: Future)
    • Good features and performance for the price
    • Step X700 is a better value

At 9 289 / £ 299, Sony UBP-X800m2 is a 4k Blue Ray player at a middle distance, but it is sitting in a strange place. It has great features, including Wi -Fi for streaming, and its image quality and reaction are perfect for the middle range 4K Blu -ray player. However, in the UK, similar pricing Panasonic DP-Ob820 is probably a better option with its more comprehensive HDR support. And in the United States, step -by -step Sony X700 is significantly cheaper than X700 X800m2 and offers a better bang for your deer.
